FROM CMDR'S DESK

 As i sent earlier to you in my email all please resent all battles because i lost all on my hdd , LCM Zhaim Jiffar already did it but i am waiting for CM Arti also to make it so. Well this week i also got invatiation for competition with Sigma squad but its Cmdr offered rules i couldnt eccept and didnt want to change his mind ..anyway i already emailed Omega squadron and i should get answer pretty soon. Drako did also great banners , you can vote if you want them as new squadron banner using squadron egroup.

-Maj Azazel had hdd malfunction , rebel spy executed , going back to normal

Semper Fi

                It was a question morning onboard ISD Intrepid. Most of pilots had free time, since ISD Intrepid was taking supplies in on of EH bases, deep inside EH territory. Copperhead pilots were doing standard daily patrol around the base. Everything was quiet.

                General Wil Striker, Wing Commander of 14^th Imperial Starfighter Wing entered quarters of Diamondback Squadron. Guys were playing poker and as always Wiesio was winning.

-Ten hut! – Yelled Azazel when he spotted Wil.

-At ease. – Ordered Wing Commander. – 88, you have been assigned mission. – He gave Azazel electronic notepad. – Here are all details.

-Yes, sir. – Wil Striker left quarters and Azazel started: - All right people, we have a mission to fly. I want you in briefing room in ten mikes. Time will be: 16:08. Ready… ready… hack. – All pilots adjusted their clocks.

-And once again, we can’t finish – complained Wiesio.

-Don’t worry man, we will be back and we will finish.

 

                Major Azazel was standing in briefing room next to the holoprojector.

-All right pilots listen up. This will be a surface attack. – he pointed at projection. – For this mission, we have been assigned to the Frigate “Cerberus” as an air support for the 7^th Imperial Stormtrooper Division.

                Wiesio interrupted.

-Sir, why they called us. Why not use one of their squadrons? – when Azazel looked at him, Wiesio already sat down.

-Hear this CFB pilots! This is not poker club! This is imperial squadron! We fighter when called! When needed, how needed! DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR!!!

-YES, SIR! – answered all pilots.

-Now. We will make standard surface strike and provide air cover for our Stormtroopers. We will make sure that enemy heavy units will not attack our light troops. We will go there, we will bomb them, we will come home. Is that understood?

-Yes sir.

                Azazel looked at his clock.

-All right. Grab your gear and meet mi in the hangar in 15 mikes. – Azazel finished and left briefing room. He was already ready for action. Of course he didn’t tell his pilots, that this mission they will fly with Gunboats.

 

15 minutes later

 

                All 88 pilots gathered in hangar wearing flight suits. Azazel was there too.

-Sir… - started Tvan Oris - … where are our fighters? – Az looked at him angry and then smiled.

-There – he pointed at 12 Gunboats.

-What? – Drako couldn’t believe it. – Gunboats? You must be kidding. How are we supposed to fly this junk?

-They are best for that kind of mission people! Remember, it will be atmospheric strike! T/Ds will not work there! – explained Major. – And now, move people! We have a mission to fly!

                All pilots obeyed orders and went to their Gunboats. They were very surprised when they saw new helmet made for them. They were nothing like imperial, more like rebel.

-Men, look at this, new helmets – announced Wiesio when he spotted them.

-Yay, I like them already. They don’t cover face and eyes. Finally I’ll be able to see everything. – laughed Marcin Kaczynski.

-And new targeting computers. Now we can fire missiles just looking at targets. – finished Azazel.

                All engines started filling the hangar with soft voice.

-Intrepid, this is Diamond 1. – said Azazel – We are ready for take off.

-Roger that, Diamond 1. You are clear for departure. Good luck. – answered flight controller.

-Thank. – Azazel changed radio frequency – All right people, standard systems check.

-Oxygen control… Check! – announced Drako.

-Mission computers… Check! – replied Michael.

-Master arms switch… Safe! – added Zhaim.

-Inertial navigation systems… Check! – finished Tvan.

-All right people, let’s go! – ordered Azazel and increased throttle. His fighters jumped forward and left through main hangar door. All fighters followed him. – Form up. Prepare to jump to hyperspace on my mark.

-Coordinates received, sir! We are ready to go. – confirmed Drako.

                All fighters were following Major Azazel’s lead in perfect formation. After 10 seconds they all jumped forward and disappeared in hyperspace.

Miscellaneous Details
As Citations Officer of Diamondback Squadron, every week I assign battle to fly, for every DB pilot. This helps squadron to get more citations. Usually I assign 3 battles per week. For completing every assigned battle, pilot get 5 points. For completing any other battle, pilot gets 2 points. For FCHG promotion, pilot get 10 points.
After end of each month, I check points and award IS-BW to the pilot with the highest number of points. Then I reset counters. If there is a tie, both pilots get IS-BW
