I will be going to a free ski day at Mount Bachelor tomorrow, so this is coming out early.
SC5 is in it's final stages, there will be a massive MP event Sunday to end the comp. Be there or be square.
XWA WoW ends tomorrow. Azazel has represented us well this week, try to get there and pick up a few matches yourselves.


Current Competitions:

- There are currently several competitions running at the Squadron level, the Battlegroup level, and the Fleet-wide level. Avengers should participate in as many of these as possible.

Fleet-wide Competitions:

#ehcoc MP Events Several Multiplayer Competitions take place weekly in #ehcoc. You can find a schedule of competitions at The Combat Office .
Week of War: XWA WoW ends tomorrow. These are hosted at BSC and flown on the Zone. Info can be found at Battlestats or on theZone. All Avengers should participate at these!
Battlegroup Competitions:

BGCOM's SC 5 Admiral Darksaber has run the SC5 well, in my opinion. There are a few days left to get your butt flying, so take this opportunity to get a few more matches in.
Avenger Competitions:

Avenger Iron Star Competitions Each month Avenger Hosts Five Iron Star Competitions. The Competitions consist of: FCHG-The Pilot who gains the most FCHG in a month, CR-The Pilot who gains the most CR in a month, Avenger Ace-The Pilot who earns the most Pilot of the Week awards in a month, Graphics-The pilot who submits the best graphics in a month, Beat The CMDR-The Pilot who beats the CMDR in a head on MP match.
New Flight Names If you can design new flight names, that I like, you will win a Iron Star. Flight were renamed recently, however I am always open to suggestions.
Recruitment Avenger Pilots will be awarded a Iron Star Bronze Ribbon for recruiting new Pilots! Remember however, direct recruiting is only to be done by myself.

CMDR's Thoughts

Pilot of the week: Azazel! Az has pulled the loin's share of MP activity this week, almost single-handedly flying in the XWA WoW. Congratulations to Az.

SC5: Now that SC5 is almost over, I would like to congratulate Az and Zoron. These 2 have done the most to keep Avenger squad in the Supremacy Comp. There are those in another squadron who now claim that they are the "elites". OK, if churning out hundreds of graphics is what it takes to be elite, then they are. But, if I recall correctly, there is only one Elite squadron in the ASF. Avenger. Simply claiming you are elite doesn't make it so. If that was the case, all the squadrons everywhere would have "Elite Squadron-open by invitation only" in their squad page. Only 4 do. We are one of them.

Avenger shake-up: Once the Supremacy comp ends, there will be some changes in our personnel. Pell will probably accept a position in the Admiralty, Dae will be sent to the reserves for RL issues due to school, Brian (Quicksilver) will be heading to the GW because he feels that he has not the time in RL to properly perform his duties as Avenger XO. Other changes may also be in store. I will be appointing Zoron as the new XO next month. However, all MSE medals will be awarded before anyone goes elsewhere, if you deserve one. An all-out recruiting drive will begin next month to fill out the ranks of Avenger with young, hungry pilots who want to be a part of something special. We ARE the Elite squadron of the ASF, MP is our game, and we will continue to do it well. Now, I'm off to go skiing, everyone have a good weekend, and I'll try not to break anything.
