WING X NEWS

Let the finals start! The Squadron League Combat Runs are over and done with, with 8 squadrons in the finals (including Tornado, Typhoon, Tempest) and another 18 fighting to get into them as well! (including Inferno, Cyclone and Thunder)

WC/LC Darklord will be on leave from 15th to 22nd November. An A-CMDR will be announced soon.

Inferno CMDR COL Manitsas is back from his holiday!

Tornado have finished their competition against Omicron Squadron, we’re waiting for the results!


SQUADRON NEWS

Bad news first... CM Zekk Terrik has transferred to the Reserves after only 2 weeks (of not doing anything) in Typhoon.

Now for the good things... welcome to CPT Akagi who joins us from Praetorian Squadron and will certainly help us perform nicely in the Squadron League :)

Congratulations to the newly promoted CPT Ahkliat and CM Elwood the Brave! Both have earned their promotions and will hopefully continue to make me the happy CMDR I am :)

I will be on a short leave as of Thursday. I will again be going to Cologne to try and find sponsors for the EH meeting at the Jedi Convention 2000... CPT Ahkliat will be my A-CMDR until Monday, so cc him in your emails to me!

And a belated congrats to CM Elwood for also making Cavalier in the FCHG :)

I would’ve liked to say congrats to LCM Richlet and CPT Akagi for earning themselves an ISM for beating me on FT 13, BUT since Howlader is being a complete jackass you two won’t have your ISMs, cause I forgot to write down the awards when I filled out the competition approval form. I’ll see what I can do about it, but it seems like I can’t promise my pilots anything anymore if I don’t fill out a stupid form about it every time... thank god for bureaucracy.


SQUADRON STATUS

You’ve heard it guys... the SL Finals are about to start for us as well. The date for that seems to be November 26th, so get ready to fly for that!

The Typhoon vs. Alpha competition is over as of yesterday... I sent Dharus our results, but he hasn’t replied yet... so since he missed the deadline, we already won, but I’ll still wait for the results. Thanks to all of you for flying, you did a great job there! And especially congrats to CPT Akagi for completely smashing the rest of us! :P

Until November 26th, I will look for another squadron we’ll challenge.. it’s not a long time until then, so the time to fly the free mission selected will be restricted to one week only, but I’m sure we can make that as well :) I’ll tell you who we’ll fly against once I’ve sorted things out.

With CPT Ahkliat promoted as high as possible in his position, he has agreed to swap his FL spot with one of you so one of you can be promoted further than LCM. If you’re interested in the spot, email me and tell me why you want it and prove me that you’ll do as great a job as Ahkliat has been doing! :P
