This has been a very busy month for the Combat Operations Office, with Imperial Storm V raging on. It takes a new format than previous years, when we all get the pleasure of stomping on the COMM, or rather, his minions, which helps us all take out our anger on those who would rather us not say naughty words like Plif Poodoo on the server. As it's cooperative, in this final stage all three Battlegroups are joining together to assault the Ishtari homeworld. The COOAs are standing by to process all Legions in service of the Empire.

As it's the end of the quarter, I'll also begin reviewing Combat Rating advancement medals for those who have gained ground in PvP and PvE ratings since we last did this in December. It's a fairly manual process, although I've got some IO tricks up my sleeve to help mitigate some of the work. That work will begin early April.

And finally, speaking of April, I'll be out of the country during the last two weeks of April. I'll have some Discord access, but response times will likely be lower than usual. Reach out to your favorite COOA if you have any issues, and if it's urgent enough they'll raise it up the chain.

Projects and Activities

Elite: Dangerous has been officially greenlit by the TIE Corps Command Staff. This will allow players flying multiplayer, either PvE or PvP, to submit ED games for Legions, run competitions for Iron Stars with Wings, and to include the platform in Corps-wide evens such as Raise the Flag. TC members who fly together in a wing may submit Legions for Bounty Hunting, Combat Bonds, Thargoid Activity, Missions, FFA Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, and Capture the Flag. Once the Internet Office implements functionality to upload ED screenshots (probably after dealing with some COMM-shaped bugs), we'll make an announcement and begin accepting screenshots. We'll also kick this off with a combat event to earn the most LoSs or LoCs over a month, similar to when we began accepting SWTOR screens for activity.

All pilots playing Star Conflict for TIE Corps credit (Legions, competitions, etc) must be part of the in-game organization. This has been a rule for a few years, but we've recently noticed that it was missing from the Combat Operations Manual. This has been rectified.

TIE Corps Shootouts 2023 Season II continues. This round, we'll be awarding the top ten with Iron Stars - GW/SW/SW/BW/BW/BW/BW/BW/BW for those who play the most matches, as well as up to one ORA per week for anyone who plays at least ten matches (with carryover from previous weeks, resetting when you earn an ORA.) For a match to count, it must be played with at least one other TC pilot, although the match does not have to be a win. I've got the process automated if submitted for Legions on either side, win or lose, but you'll need to let me know if you've played games where you've lost. The top ten pilots so far are:

The most popular game for LoCs this month was Star Wars Squadrons, and LoSs was Star Conflict. GN Elwood the Brave alone earned over 1000 Legions of Skirmish in the last month!

Competition and Combat Event News

CM Maximus Meridius of Gamma Squadron is currently in the lead for February's PvP Ace of the TIE Corps with 232 victories. He is followed by LCM Blaster72 with 150 and LCM TecGenie who has 126. In fourth place is LT SirPants with 102. There are still five days left to catch up, and with Shootouts tonight we'll see how things change.

GN Elwood the Brave is in first place for PvE Ace of the TIE Corps with 1030 Legions of Skirmish. In second is LC Robert Hogan with 832, while MAJ Gytheran is in third with 826 and CPT Wolve Excelsior Berkana is in fourth with 424.
