FROM
STRYKER'S DESK |
Stryker
finished the walkaround of his Shadow-class Y-Wing, taking in the
difference between it and the stock Y-Wings that Firebird Squadron had
utilised prior to their replacement; two extra laser cannons, expanded
ordnance capacity, larger engines and a combination of sensor-absorbing
hull panels and black paint to make it more difficult to spot visually.
It lived up to the name, and could deliver destruction from stand-off
ranges beyond the engagement distances of most other craft in the
Infiltrator Wing inventory, but thus far had been criminally
under-utilised by Infiltrator Command. Why keep a stealth ship capable of sneaking into enemy territory and delivering a crippling blow held back with "Heavy Support" squadrons? Stryker assumed it was due to the expense and rarity of the craft, which was ridiculous considering that several of the more advanced TIE designs were both rarer and more expensive in addition to not being as capable in multiple roles. That would change, Stryker determined; the Ravens would provide Heavy Support wherever they were needed, they'd just be a little more...independent |

CLOSING COMMENTS |
We've
made a good start, but we need to capitalise on that start and get
working together as a Squadron. Hopefully once summer winds down we'll
have more time for flying together! If flying's not your thing, let me
know and we'll see what we can do to get you involved! Hopefully my next report will be less dull; LCM Rain has got something special lined up! CMDR/GN Stryker/Raven/Wing X/ISDII Challenge |
