G'Day Thunder, 
Okay...well, few things have happened. First off I would like to congratulate our newest Flight Leader LCM Ryuzokin for his new position. You have more than earned it and we are expecting great things.

Now for the elephant in the squad. Many of our squad mates have been moved to the reserves for one reason or another. I can assure you all that it wasn't for anything bad. Just your standard real life taking a turn and needing priority, which is perfectly normal and understandable. So that leaves our Squad open for new recruits to fill in, which I encourage you all to take this chance to do. Great possibilities in earning an MoI (Medal of Instruction).

In other news, Project Sicarii is being put on hold for readjustment and until we get more members. It's original design did indeed feel a bit too 'spammy' and we don't want to get into that habit again. RtF and Imperial Storm were reminders that we have enough spam competitions. So I will be working on that, but will probably put a hold on tournament creation until the current two that I am running finish up.

I am also in the process of cleaning up the WSR format. Won't be an immediate change, but if you see recurring items that need to be fixed, please by all means let me know. I am human and tend to miss a fix every here and there.

Each week on Sunday evening (usually), Plif will send out a link pointing to five trivia questions for everyone to answer. The trivia questions will come from the canon Star Wars Universe. Responses are due the following Sunday before Plif releases the next set of questions.Bonus questions may be sent out intermittently, either attached to a normal week or coinciding with a holiday or special event. Answering these questions will count towards the participation rewards, but not the weekly/monthly/overall awards.== Point System ==It's pretty mathy, but the formula is:# Correct + (5 / Time in Seconds) * 1.5The intent is for all players to earn points based on how many correct answers they provided and the amount of time it took to provide those answers while still providing the most points for players that provide all five correct answers.Example: If GN Frown answered all five questions correctly in 45 seconds, he'd earn 5.167 points that week. Description:
Description: After a particularly bad batch of Chalquilla was distributed by Inferno Squadron, medical was inundated with severely hungover and somewhat illiterate members of the fleet. The tanks had been infected with a spore that ate sugar and spit out alcohol, like yeast. But, this spore also had a side effect, it secreted a neuro- inhibitor that ate away people’s knowledge. To help “stimulate” some learning, Inferno, along with the medical crew, have started sending out word puzzles to help the members of the fleet regain some of their lost knowledge.

Method: At the beginning of every month COL Marenta will generate a word search and post the link. Each month the puzzle will be related to something specific, planets, people, craft, manufacturers, wars, a movie/book/series, etc. At the beginning of the month, COL Marenta will announce the winners of the previous month and send out the next month’s puzzle.

Welcome to the 2021 refresh of the COO's Star Wars Challenge.

Squadrons

Objective:
Accumulate the most missions in a Squadrons approved multiplayer platform. You may submit PvP battles (Legion of Combat) or PvE battles (Legion of Skirmish). You have from 00:00 GMT on the first day of the month to begin and your submissions must be approved by the Combat Operations Office no later than 23:59 GMT on the last day of the month.

At the end of the month the totals will be tallied for each pilot's LoC and LoS scores and totaled into a sum. The top three scoring pilots will receive the respectively monthly reward based on ranking.

There will also be an ongoing annual ranking so you are encouraged to continue participation. The top pilot will be given 3 points for that month towards that ranking, reduced to 2 or 1 if there are less than 3 pilots participating each month. At the end of the year, the top three pilots overall will receive the annual awards.

Description:
The goal of this competition is to kill CM LegionX in a 1v1 'Dogfight' as quickly as you can in Star Wars Squadrons.

CM LegionX will NOT attack, but merely evade you at all times. Your goal is to simply attack him as fast as possible.

You will need to destroy his craft 3 times in order to finish the time trail. Pilots are permitted to use ANY craft they so choose from ANY faction.
*Be Advised* you CANNOT change ships DURING an attempt. You will be locked in the chosen ship for the remainder of the attempt.

CM LegionX will only be using his ship's countermeasures and the Signal Jammer auxiliary to evade you.
*Be Advised* Resupply points will be DISABLED during the attempt.

Upon completing a time trail, pilots are allowed and encouraged to try again to obtain quicker times. However, they must wait a minimum of 24 hours after their attempt to allow others to make their attempts. Please schedule your time slots with CM LegionX to help in keeping scheduling smooth and non chaotic.
