felt like he was spending more time ferrying back and forth between the
Challenge and the Strike
Cruiser Hermes than
he was anything else; the latter vessel having become the unofficial
launching platform for Firebird's independent operations. The task they
had been set by the High Admiral required a fair amount of planning,
and Stryker was feeling more and more like an administrator with every
meeting with a Quartermaster, Deck Officer or Engineer that he
attended. If he'd wanted to chain himself to a desk, crushed under the
weight of an ever-increasing amount of paperwork, he'd have applied for
a Wing Commander or Commodore position. However the meetings were, thankfully, coming to a close; the departure time was coming up and he would be taking his squadron away from the Challenge and her battlegroup for another long-range independent assignment; this was going to require a little more discretion than anything they'd accomplished so far, but it was of vital importance and would ensure that one way or another, Firebird Squadron went down in the annals of TIE Corps history... |

| We
are pleased to welcome General La'an back to an Infiltrator Wing
squadron! It's been a while, but I think we still have some hot pink
paint in storage. General La'an brings a lot of experience both in SP
and MP activity, and I'm glad I only have to type his FCHG rank in
once! (What is a Tesserarius, anyway?!) MSEs medals have been awarded, and with them comes a long-awaited promotion! Travis (aka TI-40026) has been a hard-working member of Firebird since day 1 and was the driving force behind our victory over the other Challenge squadrons in November, not to mention being Firebird's own piano man and recently bringing his own wingman to games (his name is Thomas, and he is four) - I think he wanted to stay a LCM forever, but he more than deserves the recognition that his promotion to Commander brings! Firebird's first matches for the Chalquilla Cup are coming soon! Team Foghorn Leghorn is due to face representatives from Inferno Squadron on Sunday, and Team Chickenhawk faces Theta on the 31st. The plot for February's month-long narrative competition/campaign is currently in progress; I'm going to finish the storyboards and get the prologue posted in next week's report. |

Firebird Squadron Training: Every two weeks, Firebird will assemble for Multiplayer Training! Star Wars Squadrons, EA Battlefront 2, and others; let's try to get full flights working together! the first rounds of the Chalquilla Cup upon us, I want to remind
everyone that while winning is great, we have nothing to prove. We
dominated High Admiral Dempsey's Challenge-wide
competition and when the next TC-wide competition comes along, we're
going to show the other ships what we are capable of - Squadrons is
just a game and we can be proud of our achievements win or lose, I
don't want anyone getting disheartened or overly-stressed due to this
competition - if you feel that's starting to happen, contact your
