Beta Squadron Report - April 25th 2020
Activity ramping up!
Hello! Second report from the new Beta squadron. A lot of activity this week!
I like what I see so far in the squadron, but in the whole fleet too. Activity is improving pretty much everywhere, and I truly hope this keeps going in the next weeks. We see a lot of old and new names popping up on Discord. Everyone in Beta is there already - don’t forget that you can also join us on Telegram.
Fleet news
The TCCOM, FA Plif, announced this week that the yearly Raise the Flag competition will have a big change; not only will the winner be the flagship of the fleet until the next event, but both the TCCOM and the SOO will make the winner their base of operation. This is a great honour that we - the ISD Hammer - have right now. When the competition is launching, later this year, Beta squadron will do everything we can do keep it that way - pilots on the ISD Warrior will make it a tough competition.
LC Zekk Terrik, CMDR of Sin Squadron, has recently asked people if they’re interested in any kind of role-playing - be it in a weekly story, run-on, or something like that. If you like role-playing, you should definitely go on Discord, in the channel #runons and join the current story, or at least read what people have been writing.
Finally, some changes in the Command staff. VA John T. Clark, former COO, is now the new SOO of the fleet. In his place, our very own COM, AD Miles Prower, is the new COO. Beta squadron wishes the best to both in their new positions.
With the depart of AD Miles Prower, both COM positions of the ISD Warrior and Hammer are now open!
Squadron News
Quite a lot of flying this week from the squadron. I like it! Great job everyone.
I conducted a survey this week to know what kind of activity is the most popular in the squadron. Thanks to everyone for the quick answer!
A new competition has been approved by the COO - Recruitment Boost Juice
Until the end of May, in addition to the MoI already awarded for new members, medals will be awarded to pilots recruiting old and new pilots to Beta squadron.
An Iron Star - Bronze ribbon medal will be awarded for 1 recruit.
An Iron Star - Silver Ribbon will be awarded for 2 recruits and more.
Note that this works on new members and reservists only!
