TCCOM Report # 59 (2004-11-19)

Fleet Admiral Cyric reporting in for the Tie Corps and the Flight Office on 11/19/04 A few congratulations are in order... First Congrats to Newly promoted Fleet Admiral Sarin, the COO! Congrats! He has resurrected the COO, and is one of the hardest working members of the fleet and EH. Congrats to BubbaX for being named the TIEBGCOM (Again :)) I feel that Bubba will be able to handle the rigors of the position and brings knowledge of the two new platforms to the TIE BG. Next order of business is Free Worlds. 1.65 has been released and we are our own faction now! Some news from HA Priyum: Some important political updates for Freeworlders - our Allies & Hostiles list has been updated to reflect recent events: The following Factions are now hostile to us: Disac Pirates, Privateer Fleet, Black Sun (see below) and the Trade Federation. The TF were added because they repeatedly attacked our traders under the guise of "Commerce Raiding". Unacceptable. We have an Alliance with the Empire (pretty much the same as it was in 1.64). We have a non-aggression trade agreement between our traders and the Black Sun - This allows Wampa and Argosy Squadrons to trade in the Y'Toub & Kessel Systems, but they may not dock at Black Sun bases or trade in Spice. All other EH tags remain hostile. The cost for this is $15,000,000 per week payable by any Wampa, Argosy or EHC character to Barticus (assuming they have the money). Payment must be reported to myself and Keller immediately. Also note that you may NOT have characters in two factions that are hostile to each other. This means if you have an EH tag and a TF tag, you must suspend one of these characters for as long as the hostilities continue. If you choose not to continue the EH character, then please stay out of #ISD_Predator for obvious reasons. If this effects you, please let me know. Wing X WC is now open for Apps. Please contact RA Stuart if you are interested. As some of you may have noticed, I have been sending warning notices and placing them on profiles for those members who leave their positions before the minimum tour of duty is over. They are as follows: CMDR, WC and COM - four (4) months BGCOM's - six (6) months There are very good reasons for these tour minimums, of which I don't feel that I need to get into everyone but a few of the major issues... 1) Leaving early shows lack of interest and commitment 2) You are taking the position away from someone who may have stayed on longer and done better things 3) Prevents squadron, wing or ship jumping for "better" positions There is no greater challenge, I feel, than revamping a squadron that is teetering in the edge, to leave a squadron because it isn't very active for a more active squadron is lunacy I say sheer lunacy. This excuse states that you aren't driven to make the squadron you are in better, and want to simply move to a squadron already active so you don't have to work as hard. Remember that the TC is built around teams of people. No one person is responsible for bringing valor to the TC, not me not you not anyONE person. It is a group effort. However an addendum to the above mentioned rule is, of course, loss of limb, life, or dire personal injury. The Flight Office site has been updated to reflect the minimum tours under the duties section. I am in the process of getting an outline made up for JTL and activity tracking and where it will fit in. It hasn't been forgotten, but was deemed necessary to see how it plays out a bit on the Fringe with the PA. It is still a Fringe game, but the TC will use the platform eventually, in CONJUNCTION with the Fringe and the PA. That's all from the Flight Office. In service...
