Fleet Admiral Cyric reporting in for the Flight Office and the Tie Corps on 11/13/04 Something popped up on the Message Boards that I think needs addressing. This applies to all positions in the TieCorps from Squadron Commander on up: Anyone wishing to apply for a Squadron Commander or higher position MUST have passed IWATS Squadron Management Version 2 or 3!! All Squadron Commanders are expected to serve in their position for a minimum of FOUR months. This is the commitment you must make towards the job. Anyone who quits before this time without extenuating circumstances will be reduced to the rank they held prior to their appointment. This is to emphasize the point that being a CMDR requires a great deal of time and commitment. It is not something to be entered into lightly and without forethought. Wing Commanders and Comodores will also be held to the four month rule. BGCOM's will be held to a Six month tour of duty. Should anyone back out or leave their position before the tour of duty is completed, they shall revert to the rank held BEFORE their promotion and have a disciplinary file attached to their profile stating that they did not finish their tour. It is important that these positions be manned by responsible people! See the Flight Office site for more info. On to the Message Boards. We had a bit of a scare when they went down. I am asking everyone who has anything on Minos to back up their files incase we as the EH and the TC need to find a new host. The message boards are back up and running. IMPSTORM is on hold, and I will let you know when it will resume. I've also noted in some of the Squadron reports that there are people claiming SWG as activity. JTL is an EH sanctioned platform as is SWG, however, JTL involves the flying. It can be counted towards activity, however, no medals can be awarded for activity in game IE LOC's until a system is developed.
