It has come to light that there is a slight error in the TIE Corps database section that deals with Competitions; when you submit a competition and I label it “Requires more information”, you will need to e-mail me separately to inform me that you have updated it (or resubmit the competition) as the database currently does not put updated competition requests back into the active list. This is only a minor problem but take heed if you want your competition reviewed quickly.

Vice Admiral Sarin has resigned from all active positions, including the Professor of the AIM Course, due to active military duty. Thus, the position of AIM Professor is open for applications (see below). The positions of Computer Basics and Graphics Professors are still pending executive approval, thus, I am not accepting applications for those posts. All such messages of that nature will now be ignored.

Until the three new Professors are appointed, there may be delays in the grading of Computer Basics and AIM submissions, and the Graphics Course is offline pending the revisions that the new Professor will need to make. Apologies for the inconvenience.

The Training Office is still not currently excepting new IWATS Course proposals. This is a temporary measure I have set in place so that I can ensure all Courses are up-to-date, have active Professors, and provide knowledge of value to those that complete them (this does not apply to potential Courses that I have already reviewed). Please refrain from sending me proposals until I announce that I am once more in a position to accept them; doing so merely wastes my time, and yours.

The position of Training Office Assistant is still open for applications, and will remain so until midnight Sunday 16th March, at which point my recommendation will be submitted for review.

Training Office Assistant (TOA) Open for Applications

After due consideration of the multitude of tasks required to be completed by the Office, the position of TOA is now open. The successful applicant will be duly considered for elevation to the position of Command Attaché in the future. The requirements are:

  • An active member of the Emperor’s Hammer.
  • Holding at least the rank of Commander (or equivalent).
  • No serious HCI convictions within the last 12 months.
  • A high-level of online activity (IRC, Fast e-mail turnaround).
  • Above average talent & experience in creating/managing websites (HTML).
  • Excellent grasp of the English language.
  • [Optional - Desired] Knowledge of Active Server Pages (ASP)

AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) Professor Open for Applications 

Following the resignation of Vice Admiral Sarin from the position of AIM Professor, the position is now open for applications. The requirements are:

  • An active member of the Emperor’s Hammer.
  • Holding at least the rank of Lieutenant (or equivalent).
  • Extensive knowledge of the AIM program.
  • Be willing to grade exam submissions within 24 hours.

Applications should be sent to me (to@emperorshammer.org) with the subject “AIM Prof Application”. Due to the nature of the position, there is no closing date for applications; they will remain open until such time as a relevantly competent individual is found.
