TCCOM Report # 0 (2001-03-18)

This report was submitted by AD Priyum Patel

Greetings all, and welcome to this week's Flight Office report...

- The big news of the past week has obviously been the announcement that the Naval Corps will be closing down in the very near future. I'm sure you've all read the details on the TIE Corps news page and in the XO's report and I won't go into them here - but, for those of you in the Naval Corps, this is how it effects you:

> All Clones in the NC should be reported to me for deactivation. This means that if you have a pilot in both the TIE Corps and Naval Corps, you can't request a transfer for the NC pilot into the TC - that pilot will be deactivated. You will have the opportunity to merge both pilots in the future, but not yet, so hang on to those requests.

> If you're in the NC, then you should start looking for an XWA Wing to transfer to. These Wings are:
Wing III - Single Player
Wing XI - Single Player
Wing XV - Multiplayer
The Naval Corps may be re-opening in the future, but that is still under discussion. The NC will officially be shut down once SA Kawolski's new EH database is online (should happen around the end of the month).

- Congratulations to the new Wing X CMDR, Colonel Manitsas, who takes over from GN Darklord following his retirement.

- As was announced at last week's TIE Corps meeting, congratulations to the VA Jarak, who was promoted to the rank of Admiral. Jarak has held the position of Battlegroup Commander for half a year now, during which time he's shown himself to be able and dedicated to his job. The promotion is more than deserved :)

- A simple request from me: When you request a roster change from me, then please make sure you include all the relevant details. For example - if you're requesting a transfer for one of your pilots, then you have to tell me where you want him transferred to!

You may think it's a obvious thing, but many people are making this sort of mistake, ranging from SLs to Wing Commanders.

- A couple of general reminders:
All reports should be CC'd to the Flight Office (spellfire@btinternet.com & Pellaeon2000@cs.com)
The TIE Corps meeting takes place every Sunday in #tiecorps are 9PM GMT / 4PM EST. We usually have trivia at the end courtesy of The Bot (SureFire). Exciting, no?
Music Corner...

Many of you guessed last week's song correctly - it was "Never you mind" by Semisonic. This week's instalment is...

where ever you go
what ever you do
its pure and simple
i'll be there for you

you can say that i'm driving you crazy
and i havn't been around for you lately
but i've had a few things on my mind
when i'm with you i'm filled with emotion
can't you see that i'm giving you devotion
and love like this is hard to find
i know i've been walking around in days baby baby
you gotta' believe me when i say
oooooooooo

Quote of the Week:

(VA_Andron): The next project for the LO will be a collaboration with the Science Office to create a gas than can go in and out of your mouth. We have preliminarily named it 'air' but that's not official yet. :P

Respectfully,

Admiral Priyum
Flight Officer, TIE Corps Commander
