TCCOM Report # 0 (2001-03-10)

This report was submitted by AD Priyum Patel

Greetings all...

Its been a fairly quiet this past week in the TIE Corps, with no great amount of new assignments or promotions. Just a reminder that if you're emailing me with routine matters, then you should also CC Admiral Havoc (Pellaeon2000@cs.com).

Myself and AD Havoc continue to work on the next Imperial Storm wargame. We've come across several obstacles whilst doing so - namely, how to involve those pilots that don't own X-Wing Alliance, and how to make the game more involved at the FM-level, rather than have the TFAs do everything.
We're still looking for people to help out, so if you'd like to be involved with this, then please email us and let us know. We're particularly looking for people that could help run the skirmishes once the game is running, for people that can help us brain storm for ideas and for a couple of people to help do some graphics for the ImpStorm II webpage.

An issue that came up over the past week was recruiting Cadets, so I'll just clarify matters: The only time you may try to recruit directly for your Squadron is on the Recruitment message board. You must not post such messages on the Training board or send such emails to Daedalus Cadets. You may however email them with offers for help - but use your common sense and don't spam them.
This is all in the General Fleet Standing Orders - http://flightoffice/emperorshammer.ca/general.html

As I said I would last week, I've decided on the TCCOM for last month. It goes to...Wing IX! Over the past several weeks, this Wing has shown that numbers don't equal activity. Despite being one of the smallest Wings in the Fleet, every pilot is highly active. Moral is great, a part of that is no doubt due to the excellent & humourous reports sent out by General Ricaud each week. This Wing deserves the long overdue spotlight, and many congratulations to GN Ricaud and VA Andron on running a fine ship!

Due to 'popular' demand, this week, we see the return of Music Corner...

Sometimes it takes all my time guessing why I can;t figure it out
Sometimes it takes all my energy just to forget about all the memories that I'd be better off without
I believe you know me well

Switch on the box, Mr. Spock is on the table
Dr. McCoy is unable to connect his brain sweating and straining
Well it seemed so simple at the time

First correct answer out of the bag wins a date with Bungle from Rainbow.

Quote of the Week:

(CM_Lost): SA Kawolski, I request a private chat with you, Sir

Quit of the Week:

*** Quits: `Kawolski (It's so good to see a kid use a wooden bat. These days it's all "aluminum" this or "George W." that... - Chief Wiggum)

Respectfully,

Admiral Priyum
Flight Officer, TIE Corps Commander
