Imperial Diplomacy - Part II
The stars outside of the Grey Wolf's front windows were replaced with flashes of light at the Grey Wolf headed for the designated rendezvous point.
"Now then, this is a Diplomatic mission, leave everything to me," Major Tagelby said.
"Why of course, Commodore Tagelby," Khadgar said sarcastically.
Major Tagelby grinded his teeth together, "I will make note of this in my Report, Khadgar!"
Khadgar grinned, but kept his comments to himself.
"We are here, Sir."
"Excellent, open a channel with the Rebel Calamari."
"Greetings Imperial Star Destroyer Grey Wolf, this is Admiral Moore of the New Republic Forces. Major Talgeby may come down to the surface alone and unarmed. Moore out."
"Very well," Tagelby said, "Prepare my shuttle."
"Erm, Major Tagelby, isn't it a little dangerous to go down there alone and unarmed? What if it's a trap?"
"Nonsense! I leave at once!" Tagelby said, marching off the bridge.
Tagelby boarded his shuttle and moments later, his shuttle went very fast backwards into the wall of the hangar of the Grey Wolf.
"Oops," Tagelby said, "I guess I'm a little rusty."
Several pilots in the hangar bay snickered quietly.
"This is Major Tagelby requesting permission to leave the hangar."
"Permission granted", Lieutenant Colonel Azazel said into the ship's comlink on the bridge.
"Good riddance," Khadgar muttered.
"Amen to that," said Azazel, grinning.
Khadgar paused, "Something doesn't feel right here."
Azazel looked blankly at Khadgar, "What do you mean?"
"I just don't trust the Rebels. You'd best order a patrol of the area."
"All right, I'll get it going."
"Make sure the Rebels don't see us... Tagelby would be furious."
"Right Sir, I'll get on it."
Major Tagelby stepped off his shuttle to be greeted by a Rebel Officer.
"Greetings, Major Tagelby... I'm Vice Admiral Perry of the New Republic... Erm... Diplomatic Corps... Heh Heh."
"A pleasure to meet you. Shall we get started?"
"But of course, if you'll follow me."
Tagelby was led to a large negotiating table.
"Now, here is what I had in mind..." Tagelby started.
Vice Admiral Perry and two guards raised their blasted and pointed them at Tagelby.
"Shut up, Tagelby. Guards, gag him and tie him up!"
"But, but, we're Diplomats!"
"You really are a fool, Tagelby, I'm Vice Admiral Perry of the New Republic Forces."
Tagelby frowned, "You're making a mistake..."

This week alert officer Colonel Ford Prefect has brought to my attention, a site which I'd like to discuss.
Remember the old 60s Batman TV series? This site is based on it, and it is absolutely hilarious.
The URL is http://members.tripod.com/~AdamWest/, I had a lot of fun looking at the various Quotes in the "Quotes" section.
For example:
Robin: "Aren't you even going to try and get loose?"
Batman: "What's the cube root of pi, Robin?"
Robin: "You can't get away from Batman that easy!"

Robin: "Easily."
Batman: "Good grammar is essential, Robin."

I'm impressed with the recruitment that has gone on. Unfortunately this ship dropped in numbers due to some pilots being shipped away, but our numbers are pretty much back to normal levels! Keep recruiting!
