ISD Grey Wolf Report #38 - 01.25.02

Pilot's Lounge

Janson is taken to a temple...

Janson awoke to see a man in a purple uniform sitting in a chair.
"Who are you?"
"You will find out in good time, my friend. For now, we will put you to work in the mines!"
Janson was taken from the chamber, he soon noted that this was the temple which had been spotted earlier by the Grey Wolf.
He was soon escorted under the temple to a dark cave. About five minutes later, the guards paused.
"Now, you will mine... All of the equipment is here. When you've mined for an hour, put your spice unto that conveyor belt over there, understand?"
Janson glanced over at the conveyor belt and then nodded.
"Great."
The guards smiled and then walked back in the direction from which they had come.
Janson went to glance around and soon saw another man mining near the conveyor belt.
"Hey there, who might you be?"
"I'm Captain Flint, loyal servant of the Emperor."
"Ah, I'm Lieutenant Colonel Wes Janson of the Imperial Forces."
"Great! What news of the Empire? Is the Emperor well?"
"Well, yeah... Wait, I guess not... He's kind of, well... dead."
Flint frowned, "How terrible..."
"You've been in here awhile then, Flint?"
"Yes, a good long time."
"Perhaps we should find a way to escape."
"Heh, I've been trying that for awhile, the place is heavily guarded..."
Suddenly a voice came, "Hey! You two, back to work!"
The crack of a whip came down beisde Janson.
"Erm... Hehe... I was, um, just going!" Janson said, hurrying off.

Janson worked away, and pondered his situation. After awhile, he went to the conveyor belt to drop off another batch of spice.
He dropped the spice and looked over to Flint, "Where does this conveyor belt go to, anyways?"
"I'm not sure, why?"
"Only one way to find out..."
"You're not planning to go up it?"
"Better than mining all day..."
"All right, let's hide inside these spice crates and hope for the best."
Janson and Flint each lifted the tops off of a nearby crate of spice intended for the conveyor belt.
After many minutes of waiting, a voice came, "Lazy workers... Can't even lift spice crates anymore!"
Suddenly, Janson could heard the thud of Flint's crate hitting the conveyor belt.
Next, his crate was slowly lifted and placed on the conveyor belt with a thud.

To be continued...

Wing XIII Monastery

It's that time again where many "student pilots" have to write final exams. I had to write such things, and hence that will be this weeks topic.

Final Exam Q and A...

What is a final exam?

Something that teachers give to cause nervous breakdowns, depression, etc.

Really?

Well, no... It's actually a test on all of the things you've taken in a given subject during a semester.

What kinds of things can I expect on final exams?

Generally whatever the teacher says will be on the exam. Oh yes, and what they say won't be on the exam as well.

Wow, sounds like fun!

Hahahahaha, that was a good one!
