ISDII Grey Wolf Report # 10 (2001-07-13)

This report was submitted by RA Khadgar

First off, before I start this report, I think I should mention something. Some of you may have noticed some "disagreements" going on lately. However, these have been resolved, I think we can put this behind us and go on with things as usual. I must express my appreication to the officers involved for quickly resolving this diplomatically after my return.

Also... If this report seems late, it's not! The last one was early since I was moving, thus it only seems that this one is late, since it's been awhile since I've done one, when in fact, I've done all my reports on time... Ack, I'm babbling again... Anyways, on with another report!

ISD Grey Wolf Report #10 - 07.13.01

Pilot's Lounge

CrazyR2 diligently serves drinks at the "Wolf's Head". :P

Khadgar walked to his office and pushed a button.
Suddenly, the door opened and literally, datapads flooded into the hallway, completely burying Khadgar.
In the Grey Wolf cantina, Wes Janson and Raxis Krieger were sharing drinks.
Wes Janson grinned, "Nice new Squadron Commander badge, Raxis."
Raxis smiled as well, "Nice Captain badge!"
They both laughed and started to down their drinks, when they heard a faint muttering.
"Can't... *Gasp*... Breathe! Help... Me... *Gasp*..."
Wes Janson raised an eyebrow, "That sounded kind of like the Commodore."
Raxis paused a moment, "So?"
They both continued drinking their drinks.

Vice Admiral Cyric walked towards the "Wolf's Head" cantina after a long day of processing requests.
When he rounded a corner on the way towards the canteen, he tripped on a pile of datapads.
"What is this?" he muttered to himself, getting up and brushing the dust off of his uniform.
He made a casual glance down the hall, and his mouth opened wide, the hallway was filled with datapads!
Cyric quickly stopped a passing Lieutenant, "Get a cleaning crew in here immediately."
After a short wait, the cleaning crew came and cleared the datapads away into various cargo bays on the Grey Wolf.
Under the pile was Khadgar, lying still on the floor.
Wes Janson came out of the cantina and gasped, "My goodness, he's dead!"

Khadgar woke up later, it had been a good nap, he had needed that.
He proceeded into the cantina and walked to the bar.
"A Barcadi, please," he said.
"But... You're... Dead!"
"I am? Hmmm... Ah well, put the drink on my tab, remember, 'Lieutenant Colonel Brakka'."
Khadgar took his drink and overheard some people talking, "Haha, we've gotten rid of him, finally!"
He decided this table seemed interesting and decided to sit down.
"Now, who will be the new C-C-Commo... Khadgar?"
"Yes?"
"You're alive?"
"Uh, I think so."
"Well, it's uh, nice to have you back! Yeah..." the officer said, quickly making his way towards the door.
Another officer approached the table, "Sir, Cargo Bays 1, 2 and 3 standing by with datapads of requests waiting to be processed..."

It would be a long, long day...

Yes, that's right, you've got a friend in the business, let me give you an example of a conversation of I had with a fine representative.

Person: Thank you for calling, your call is important to us, please wait a moment while I transfer your call.
*Waiting music plays for about 2 minutes, then a ringing noise starts*.
Tech Support: Hello, this is Bob (or whatever his name was) speaking, how can I help you?
Cardinal: Hello, I'm calling because I have a problem with my *insert problem here*, it is currently unable to work.
Tech Support: Hmm... That's strange, okay, go into the Properties option. Now, see that bottom text box? Erase whatever you have in there and plug in "communications.server.com" (or whatever).
Cardinal: Okay, I've done that... It still doesn't appear to work...
*Insert 5 minutes of trying random things*
Tech Support: Okay, now put your monitor on your head.
Cardinal: Okay...
Tech Support: Does it work now?
Cardinal: Umm... No.
Tech Support: Well, it must be a problem with your network!
Cardinal: But it's always worked-
Tech Support: I'm afraid I can't help you, thanks for calling!
Cardinal: Thanks.

Yes, that's right... in about 10 minutes... I was able... To change some settings that didn't need to be changed!

That's all for this week, on with...

News

Odin Opens (and there was much rejoicing)!

Odin Squadron was opened! I'm very pleased with this... Shows things have gone well. Congrats to CMDR/CPT Raxis Krieger, FL/CPT Saar and FL/LT Brian!

Commodore Back

I got back after a short leave from the 4th until the 9th. I've moved to a new house and I can get on with a High Activity summer! Currently, as I mentioned in a slightly exaggerated manner in my report, I have a bunch of stuff to catch up on. Everything should be done by sometime tomorrow.

You win some, you lose some

Recently we had two clashes with the Silver Sabre task force in Imperial Storm II. As predicted, we decimated the enemy in the first battle, however, we fell prey to a counter-attack and lost some of our forces. Full details at http://www.btinternet.com/~spellfire/impstorm.html. Keep your eyes on tiecorps.org for updates!

Congrats!

Congrats to all who recieved MSE awards! Currently I only have a few more to recommend...

Oh yes...

... There was also some male Emperor's Hammer magazine for "mature" people... You won't see me elaborating. :P

Commodore's Office

I'm pleased with the activity that remained High, even during my leave. Your rewards are in the mail! As always, if you feel you deserve more, please feel free to E-Mail me.
Right now, a pressing concern is recruitment, I realize some people have been working diligently at recruitment, which is good, if we'd to support 6 active Squadrons, we'll need some more people. :)
Also, you may have heard in the Wing Commander's Report that the ISD Intrepid is hoping to get to 72... But we'd like to get there first. I think this sounds like a good idea. Gentlemen, start your engines!

That's all this week!
