Admiral Pete Mitchell stood on the brigde
of the Challenge. “They did what?!” he barked to the Officer on the com. “They
assaulted Fleet Admiral Pellaeon shuttle.” – “Who are ‘they’ ” Pete asked in
an angry way. “I need informations! What ships? How many? Status of the TCCOM’s
ship? Status of his escort? Come on guys, this is not your first day on the
bridge!” – “Looks like the Admiral was trapped by an Interdictor. The escort Squadrons
take heavy fire. It seems they have various imperial craft too. I was able to
locate his last position, Sir!” – “Initiate an interception course! Open a
com to the Hammer, Warrior and the Aggressor!” – “Com link open, Sir!”
“Admirals, Pellaeon was trapped by an Interdictor supposed at the following
coordinates…” Pete pushes some buttons on a desk “…I take over the command of
the Fleet. Battle status at once!”
“We are always at battle status Pete.” Plif replyed “As usual.”Miles and
Silvius agreed. “Hyperjump in 5…”
*****
4 grey spades fell out of hyperspace, just in the middle of a battle, which
seems more to be a slaughter. Many TC fighters drifted disabled in a huge
mine field. No signal from the TCCOM’s shuttle.
“Order to all gunners to take out these mines! Launch our remaining Squadrons!”
– “Confirmed by all ships, Admiral!” reports the Officer on the com station.
“And now let’s turn this battle to our advantage…” Pete mumbled to himself…
*****
The Star Destroyer’s turbo lasers annihilated mine after mine in a deadly
staccato. The back ordered Kappa Squadron, the TCCOM’s vanguard, joined the party
several minutes later. Soon the last mine died in green fire. “Excellent
work, now focus that Interdictor and the Frigate. Any signals or indications
where Pell could be?” – “No Sir, but there is a huge unknown vessel fleeing
from the battle. It looks like a further development of our Star Destroyers.”
– “What the hell… Interception course, the Fleet Admiral is on that ship. And
gather information about it, I had enough surprises for today.” –“Acknowledged,
Sir!”
*****
The reinforced TIE Corps Forces had an easy game and turned the battle fast
to their advantage. It seems that the fleeing vessel is damaged. Unusual fast
the 4 Star Destroyer closed the gap to the enemy capital. In a speedy manner
the TIE Defenders of Alpha, Delta and Kappa Squadron reached the vessel and covered
it with blue ion blasts. “Shields at 10% and falling, Sir!” – “Superb. Any technical
analyses?” – “The IFF code tells something about a Resurgent-class Star
Destroyer owned by an organization or whatever calling themselves ‘New Order’.”
– “Regardless who they are, launch the Assault-Transports, search every bulkhead
for TIE Corps Commander!” Pete wasn’t able to refrain an evil grin. He could
not know, if Pell was there or not. But Pete was sure he is.
*****
“Shields at 0% Sir!” An explosion shook the RSD’s hangar and an Imperial
Landing Craft launched heading in the Challenge’s direction. “What IFF code
Lieutenant?” Pete asked “Theta 1, Sir! That’s Colonel Schuelers Ship!” – “Theta
1 to Challenge, requesting landing permission for a valuable delivery.” – “Permission
granted! Welcome back!”
*****
…One day later…
Pellaeon finished his conference with Grand Admiral Rapier, took a coffee and
went to the Challenge´s hangar. He ordered a meeting with all Commodores, Wing
Commanders, Squadron Commanders and of course all the pilots. The noise in
the hanger suddenly died after Pellaeon entered it.
“Gentlemen, at first I want to thank everybody who was involved in my rescue
operation. I guess everybody wants to know, who was the aggressor. The only
thing I can tell is that a former Sith Apprentice of me was involved in this.
Her name was Jancas Judicis. She wanted take revenge for an old long-forgotten
incident. But this is history now. I guess you all are more interested, why I
left the Challenge in such a hurry. I guess today it is the day of
revelation. I wanted to talk with the Fleet Commander about my successor in
command of the TIE Corps. But after my capturing and the resolute
intervention of my XO, Admiral Pete Mitchell, had lost all his doubts.
Gentlemen, today was my last day as your TIE Corps Commander. Salute to your
new boss, Admiral Pete Mitchell!”
[FIN]
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Greetings Pilots of the TC.
Raise the Flag 2018 is over as well my time as your TCCOM. I hope COL Hawkins
don’t mind it, that I stole some ideas and wrote my own little fiction around
his 6 chapters he sent in for this year’s edition of RtF. So if you want to
know the full story, read his fictions. I’ll send them all including all graphics
to our Warden and Editor of the Newsletter. The Warden will link it with the
creator’s dossier. The Editor will create a new edition of our newsletter out
of it.
Back to RtF. I was informed by AD Plif (double-checked by GN Pickled Yoda)
that the LoS/LoS submitted on the last RtF-day and approved in July were not
counted by the website. After a recount by the Combat Operations Officer and
a manual recalculation from side there was no change to any of the rankings I
calculated before, except some more cosmetic looking points. So I kept the
old scores to prevent useless time-consuming reediting the entire report. So
no panic if you find some slight differences to your own calculations.
Everything is correct now, that’s why it took so long for this report. Thanks
for your understanding. The full final scores can be found under: http://rtf.tsaunders.net/ or
in the competition section as eye-friendly overview.
Congratulations to this year’s top pilot. The winner and grabber of the coveted
IS-PW is Admiral Pete Mitchell! Because it makes no sense that Pete is his
own Wingman, the 2nd high scorer was choosen this year as his escort.
General Elwood the Brave will be the TCCOM’s personal Wingman for the next
year. Congratulations Woody!
The same fate meets the Escort Squadron. It can’t be Cyclone, so this year’s
Escort Squadron of the TCCOM will be Theta Squadron! Congratulations!
Fortunately there are no exceptions for the Flag Ship. Once again the mighty
ISD II Warrior will be the Flag Ship of the TIE Corps. Congratulations to
Admiral Plif and his excellent crew! It’s the 5th time in a row.
Very impressive!
Last but not least Colonel Mark Schueler received his promotion to General.
Congratulations! A double reason for party in Theta. Promotion and Escort Squadron!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So my story ends here now. I want to thank
Woody for the great times as his Strategic Operations Officer when he was
TCCOM. I want to thank the former and current Combat Operations Officers Crsepe,
Hawkins and Silvius for having the nerves working together with me. Thanks
also to past and current Commodores struggling and dealing with me about possible
best awards and promotions for their pilots. I know I was strict and sometimes
difficult but anyways it was always a pleasure for me to work with you all. I
want to thank AD Pete Mitchell being a great Strategic Operations Officer and
hopefully an excellent TCCOM. I trained you well. You will not disappoint me.
Last but not least I have to thank Grand Admiral Rapier for his trust in my
abilities leading the TIE Corps. Not a full year, but almost one.
Leaves the last question: Where do I go now? My retirement home for the
moment will be Epsilon Squadron. I’ll also continue managing TCoR and AotTC
to the end of the year.
So…that was it…for the last time.
<Salute>
respectfully,
Pellaeon.

TIE Corps on Recon - 2018:
Competition Medals:
- IS-SW/IS-BW for the 1st
and 2nd based on combined score of all 5 game modes (weekly)
- IS-GW/IS-SW/IS-BW for 1st, 2nd and 3rd based on the points earned (points
from all match types added together for the monthly part!)
- IS-PW/IS-GW/IS-SW for 1st, 2nd and 3rd based on the points earned over the
entire year 2017
- IS-GW/SW/BW for 1st, 2nd and 3rd for every game mode based on the points
earned over the entire year 2017
Description:
This competition is split up into multiple parts, all based on Star Conflict
Multiplayer matches. The different weekly parts are split up based on the
different match types Star Conflict is offering.
Here the goals for the 5 different game modes used in this competition:
- Domination/Beacon Hunt (counted separately): 3 points per captured beacon,
1 point per kill, 0,5 points per assist
- PvE/Team Battle (counted separately): most kills (Assists count as half
kills)
- Detonation: most kills (Assists count as half kills), planting a bomb will
add 3 extra points.
- Combat Recon was removed from TCoR because it doesn’t appear any more in
normal PvP games
For the monthly part of the TCoR competition a points system will be used.
For each victory in one of the weekly sections of this competition the winner
will gain 4 points, second gains 3, third gains 2 and every other participant
gains 1 point. Even if only 1,2 or 3 TIE pilots participate in one game mode,
the 1st place still gains 4 points, 2nd 3 points and so on. Those points will
be added up until the last weekly TCCOM report of a month and then the
monthly winner will be announced based on those points. The points are also
used for the calculation of the overall winner of the year.
Every participating pilot that isn't eligible for a medal reward from this
competition earns himself a TCoR-activity point for each match type he
participated in per week.
10 activity points = IS-BW
50 activity points = IS-SW
After gaining 50 activity points, the pilot's points will be reset to 0.
To make a match count for this competition screenshots of the matches need to
be send to the TIE Corps Commander before the weekly report is released on
Sunday. Only one submission per week, match type and pilot will count, even
though you might send multiple screenshots to the TCCOM in case you manage to
gain more kills/captures during a week than you've had in the first
submission. Only screenshots with victories are allowed!
Everyone that wants to participate in this competition needs to submit
screenshots himself. If in one match 2
TIE Corps pilots participated and want a screenshot for that match to count
for this competition they BOTH need
to send their screenshots to the TCCOM!
Tie breakers:
- most Beacons in Domination and Beacon Hunt; in case of the same amount of
beacons most pure kills will be the tie breaker
- most bombs planted in Detonation, in case of the same amount most pure
kills will be the tie breaker
- pure kills for PvE, Team Battle
Note that CoOp matches against bot-only teams are not eligible.
