We've had quite an eventful month so far this January, lots of newsworthy
events,awards, transfers, and competitions. I have been planning something
fun for
February, and will announce more details once I have more :P
*****Hellos and Goodbyes*****
Well, Phantom Squadron was thriving under CM Lord Linkans short command, and
due to unfortunate RL circumstances, he's been forced to transfer to the
Reserves. I wish him all the best and hope to see him return to our ship one
day! CPT Pikachu of Ranger squadron has jumped over to the ISD Challenge to
fly with Typhoon Squadron, good luck to you there Quake :P LT Freck of Demon
transferred to the Reserves this month, also due to RL commitments.

*****EH Newsletter - The Dark Sentinel*****
I encourage you all to send some graphics and fiction to HA Kawolski for the
EH NL! I know that many of you have written some great stories, and made
some cool graphics. Even if you've already submitted it to battlecry or any
of our past competitions,
submit it to the EH NL. Letter of Achievments ( LoA ) will be awarded for
each
submission and your talents will be publicized throughout the entire
Emperor's Hammer. Think of the great recruitment opportunities :)

*****New Iron Star Medal in effect*****
There is a new medal system in place for rewarding pilots that participate
in single player competitions that incorperates the Iron Star. All
participating members of a winning squadron will receive a ribbon as an
award, the Copper, Nickel, Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum Ribbons (CR,
NR, BR, SR, GR, PR), depending on the size of the competition. All previous

Congratulations to Vice Admiral Chrusos "VitCarp" Ichthys who has been
named as the new ASF Battlegroup Commander. VitCarp has shown exceptional
leadership skills as Wing Commander of Wing XIII, his WC spot was quickly
taken by MAJ Brucmack, who has also
proven himself more than worthy of this position :P Congrats and good
luck to both !

With the resignation of Fleet Admiral Striker, the fleet's new Tactical
Officer is now officially Admiral StarLion.

to Jarak. Grading will be based on three fields- Average Score, High Score,
and Pilot Participation. I know we are an XWA ship, but it's always fun to
beat other ships at their own game. It's been done before !
