News:
COM’s Quarters Sabotaged!
This week saw my home PC go kaput :/ I’m currently running things from onboard the M/CRV Chalquila in my office. This has severely limited my data and I expect that most people who see me regularly on IRC must think I’m dead by now.
Good news is that my PC is alive again now (al be it with a blank HD now) and then I find that the bloody phone line will not work! Hopefully this will be resolved today and I’ll be back online in a matter of hours. If I do not surface on IRC before 20:00 GMT tonight, I’ll be offline all weekend :/
New Sub Lieutenants
I wish to welcome all our new recruits to the ISD-II Challenge, she is one of the finest ships in the fleet, and a great place to start your career, trust me on that , I started in the FM ranks here myself!
CMDR’s, if you have SL’s in your squadrons, they need 100% support from you, if someone is still SL after 1 week on this ship then something is wrong. Check your rosters and get in touch with your new pilots! the EH is a daunting place when you’re just starting out, so let’s help them settle into their positions as quickly as possible.
Tempest CMDR
Sadly CMDR/CPT Kaneda Pellail has decided that he can no longer fulfill the obligations of CMDR, he has been replaced by CPT Shakur. Whilst Tornado are reeling from their loss, CPT Shakur has settled in fine and is proving he is worthy of this position, Congratulations CPT!
Trivia Competition:
The trivia competition seems to have died a death, let’s see if we can resurrect this, I shall start trying to add 20 questions into the COM report, the 1st place and 2nd place will receive medals. There will be questions sent separately to this report once I can get my home system back up and running.
New Competition: Wing X vs. Wing XVIII
We've been offered a friendly competition vs. Wing XVIII. This is slightly complex, so I'll explain as best as I can. Any questions, ask! This is a competition to be fought out over 2 rounds. The first round is TIE, using Free TIE 178 and the second is XWA, using Free XWA 35. Both these missions need to be flown and sent to your CMDRs for processing by 21st May. CMDRs I'll be in touch with you shortly about how to do your scoring for this comp. :) Both missions are attached. There will be an IS-SW for the top scoring pilot in EACH Free mission, and an IS-BW for the second highest scoring pilot in EACH Free mission up for grabs.
For your information, the high score on the TIE mission is 73,742; the high score on the XWA mission is 13,751.
We kicked some booty on this one. We one by a score of 34,000 to 2,200. GREAT JOB!!!

COM’s Rant on cheating
This month saw one of our pilots demoted to SL, stripped of all medals and FCHG points and also unable to regain points. This was for 5 cases of cheating that were proven by the Tactical Office and sentenced to the standard punishment by the HCI. Was this really worth it? I think not. Cheating is not tolerated by the EH, and is not tolerated by me. If it is a mistake, I will fight your case to the line, so don’t look at me as a bad guy!
WC on Leave
Mairin is on leave for finals (good luck Mai!) for the next two weeks, LC Sephroth is covering WC duties very well! Mai, looks like someone’s gunning for your post >:P
New Cyclone CMDR
MAJ RogueWing was selected as the new CMDR of Cyclone. It was a very tough choice to make as a lot of people prefer internal recruitment of CMDR, however MAJ Roguewing came up more than qualified for this position, I’m surprised he’s not a WC by now! Everyone give him a warm challenge welcome… and no fighting in the cantina (looks at Master >:P)

Challenge Recruitment Programme

Wing X Wargame
Thunder have been declared the default winners of the Wing X Wargame. Hopefully we can get another of these going at some point in the future if everyone would like to. So long as it’s not the shambles that Imperial Storm has been then I think we can work this well!
Imperial Storm Update
We are no longer participating in the Imperial Storm exercise. This decision was taken by our BGCOM, VA Drake and has my full backing. There have been a catalogue of errors with the running of this exercise from start to finish and the final straw was broken. If you want specific details, then contact me personally.
