COM Report #2 (18.November.02)

Welcome to the all-new format of the COM Reports! As LC Sephiroth has taken over from me as Wing Commander, and will be handling all Wing and Squadron News, including roster updates, medal awards and IWATS passes in his reports, my reports are going to be slightly different from now on. That doesn't mean I don't care about your awards and so on, it just doesn't make sense to send out two reports concerning the same thing every week/fortnight. My reports are therefore going to cover projects that we have on the go at the moment, giving status updates of what's happening with them and where we are at with getting them shipped out to you, the recipient. :) So without further ado...

General

Competitions/Results to Look Out For
Typhoon vs. Praetorian
Thunder vs. Psi
Tornado vs. Sigma
Wing X League coming soon! (I'm hoping to start this next week, unless the ECR Phase III happens before then)

Recruitment
The Ship currently stands at 37. This is with one transfer pending, and another member currently going through Flight Training before he is able to join our Wing. Those two additions will put us at 39. We were at 50 before the database went down, and I'd really like to get there again before Christmas. All that that needs is for each squadron to recruit 2 members before the end of the year. It *can* happen, and if we all work really hard at it, it will happen.

Good targets: Friends, Colleagues, Flatmates, Opponents on the Zone, Cadets, Former Squad Members <-- get them all if you can!

Activity
With the TIE Corps database back, there is now no excuse not to do anything. You can earn medals, have your files processed, and have your IWATS Courses put on your database file. We don't ask much of you on board the Challenge - you joined us to have fun and we believe that you have to do things and get involved to have that fun. I'd really like to see everyone try and fly ON AVERAGE one mission a week as a minimum effort. That's not hard - it's a battle a month. I'm sure you're all capable of managing that. :) You don't have to fly if you have technical issues - you can produce fiction, graphics, or even run trivia competitions and such like.

And that's it for this week!
