Status update

There was a locking issue with the BSF system that was preventing zipped pilot files from being loaded. Preliminary testing shows the problem appears to have been fixed. The TAC staff will be conducting further testing over the weekend. This is pretty much the last major sticking point in the site's functionality and once resolved, the site will go live.

Hawkeye II Trailer

After much delay and anticipation, the Internet Office is finally proud to announce the release of the trailer which serves as a prelude to Hawkeye II: Uprising, the sequel to the popular IO competition. Wing News

-Congratulations go out to CM VinDoros who is the new Vampire CMDR! Drinks are on him.

-I want to thank everyone who showed up last weekend for the Wing Meeting. It went extremely well. Auto has started a poll on our MB to determine the best time for it, and right now it appears that the majority or people are saying that 1:00 PM EST is the best. If you have problems with that, go to the Immortal MB and post your vote.

-MAJ Auto is running a graphics competition. We are looking for new Banners for the Wing and the Ship. Send all submissions to him at WC@wingXI.net and 'CC your CMDR.

-Hopefully, the database will be able to take BSF's in the next day or so. I'll send out an email as soon as we get word that it's okay to submit them.

-We need more recruits. To this effect, I am offering a bounty of an ISM on any NEW recruit you get onto the Immortal. They will have to transfer from the Reserves, or from the Daedalus Platform. (DO NOT SPAM DAEDALUS!) I would suggest hanging out in the Zone in the XWA and XvT rooms....

Ship News

-Ship's Security is investigating reports of two Ranger pilots running in Falcon's barracks naked. It is unknown what caused this freakish event.

-Ship's Security also filed a report of a Vampire pilot being chased by a large wooly gundark on Deck 2. It is believed to be related to a previous report of a large wooly gundark being chased by a Vampire pilot on Deck 3.

-Someone has misappropiated Maj Auto's stash of pink paint that he keeps in his quarters (don't ask why he keeps pink paint in his quarters.....). Security is currently searching Ghost's barracks for it.

Competitions

-ECR phase 2 is over. We are still waiting to here from Krax on the final phase. All copies of the fiction submissions can be found at http://www.geocities.com/roguewing25

-The Top Gun competition will be continued this month. Basically, the pilot that wins the most MP matches will recieve an IS-SW. The runner-up will recieve an IS-BW. Also, you don't have to wait until official EH comps for this. You can set up your own quick skirmishes while on IRC and I will count those as well, as long as you send me the results of the win.

-The Immortal Tactical Scenario has been sent out. It is due in 2 weeks. If you need to refresh your memories on the rules, it is posted on the Immortal MB. :p
