Ship News

-Welcome to the first of many many COM reports, which I will normally do every other week, I believe. Although I've been known to do one every week. But we'll see. Anyways, because there is no standard form for a COM to do a report (except a blank one :P), let me explain what I'll be using these reports for...

1) To highlight topics of intrest happening inside and outside of the Challenge. The WC's main concern is what's happening within the Wing, so my COM reports will usually concentrate on how our ship is effecting the outside world, in paticular paying attention to participation with other ships of the BG.

2) To provide information about current comps, especially those that I'll be running (in other words, external comps, or other such things)

3) To provide basic squadron statistics for all squadrons onboard the Challenge since the last report.

4) Whatever else I feel like adding :P

-As I'm getting into the swing of things here, I've been working with Cor on developing a number of comps. One of them we're going to try out this week: The #wing_x meeting. Yes. A meeting in #wing_x. We'll use this meeting to very briefly discuss current happenings on the Challenge, and then will move on to some sort of event, most likely which will be trivia. But, it will be trivia from me, so technically, as long as you've seen the trilogy, you've got a shot at doing well ;P The #wing_x meeting will be an hour before the TC meeting, which means that it'll be on Sunday at 3:00pm EST (That's GMT -5.00 ;P). I understand we are all on vastly different timezones, and that that time might not be possible for everyone. Unfortunetly, it's impossible for me to find one that works for everyone, so for the moment I have to just go with a time that's somewhat standard (just going early then the TC meeting) and try it out. Oh, btw, if you do not know what 2:00pm EST = in your time zone... give me an email and I'll help you out ;) I hope to see more then a few of you there :)

-We've had a number of arrivals as of late, and I'd like to give again a big welcome back to COL Wild Bill Kelso (Boliv :P) and LC Chris McCollum. I'd also like to give a big welcome to new arrival CM Max, who joins Thunder. Welcome :)

-Big congrats to the newly-promoted LT Marlin, who has left idling of SLhook behind for an existance as an active pilot! Congrats :)

-LC Chris McCollum must also be congratulated upon now offically being placed as Tempest's new FL3, despite previous reports of anti-promotion FM LCM Prost being the new FL3 for Tempest. Such reports were most certainly a simple mistake and not at all misinformation designed to make P go crazy and give us all a good laugh. The Challenge would never and has never stooped to such tactics for a good time... reeeeeeally ;P

-Currently Cor and I are working on a new set of SSO's. I know a lot of this report is "We are working on so-and-so", but hey now, it's only been a week! We've got a lot of cool stuff coming for you, and it won't be long till we can get the ball rolling on a lot of this stuff, so stay tuned :)

Competitions

Challenge Meetings in #wing_x - Every Sunday at 3pm EST (GMT -05.00) we willl converge upon #wing_x and, after briefly discussing Wing events, will jump into a game of trivia or other such things. An IS-BR will be awarded at the end of the month to any person who wins an #wing_x event. If a person wins two #wing_x events over the course of a month, he will be awarded an IS-SR.

Fleet News

-There's been a few new battles released this week! XvT-TC #108, XWA-TC #43 and XWA-TC #42 have been released. You should highly consider giving XWA-TC #42 a try considering it is the products of myself and VA Master, which, according to unreliable sources, makes it the best battle ever. Even if it's just a compilation of missions we made you all fly back in December of 2003 for ECR V.

-The SCO is looking for voice actors for what will soon be a new, custom game made for the EH, Imperial Alliance. If you're intresting, check out the MB topic about it at http://mb.emperorshammer.net/viewtopic.php?t=983
