Ship News

-Big news event of this week: In light of Bubba's BG comp being put on hold, we have decided to embark on a competition with the Relentless! The details are below in the comp section, but basically, starting this Friday, we will launch into a competition against the Rel in the form of a TIE free, an XWA free, and a run-on! I really would like to use this oppertunity as a warm up for future comes coming up soon, and as a good way to show the Rel just why we're the BG Flagship :) Count on Cor and I pestering you about this comp more as it launches this Friday!

-I need to make mention that the Ops has resigned, which means all medals that were in query (including the MSE medals for February) have yet to be approved, and will probably not be until a new Ops is appointed. Hopefully that won't take too long cause a lot of you have already more then earned significant rewards for your activity this month :)

-It was decided that COMs were to do weekly reports, and then it was decided that no, they can continue to do biweekly reports. I'm doing one this week mostly to push our comp with the Relentless, but will probably return to a biweekly status from here on out. Or not. We'll see.

-Meeting time at 9pm EST worked a lot better this week, with an improved turn out. Will continue to use the same time next week. While the meeting was mostly centered around trivia, which, while being completely about Boliv, was still won by CPT Dujhod, a spontaneous "news from the squadrons" occured when Chris insisted upon announcing the news of Tempest Squadron. Unfortunetly, due to CoCs, we are unable to show what was said, which is just all the more reason to show up to the meeting next week! Also of note: George announced a bounty for DV's head after he became the first non-Typhoon pilot to win PotW. Next week, the trivia topic will be on RotJ with a bonus question on our own IRC officer of harassment, LC Chris McCollum.

Competitions

ISD Challenge vs. ISD Relentless/Flaggie Slap Fight - During the period of March 25th to April 8th, the Challenge and the Relentless will engage in hostilities in the way of missions and a run-on. All pilots of the ISD Relentless and the ISD Challenge will fly TIE-FREE #193 and XWA-FREE #115.

By the end of April 8th, each ship will add up and submit a total score of all TIE pilot files for their TIE score, and a total score of all XWA pilot files for their XWA score. The two highest scorers in each division will be awarded a IS-SW and a IS-BW respectively.

At the same time, all pilots of the ISD Relentless and the ISD Challenge shall participate in a run-on to be done in the TCBG forum under the supervision of the BGCOM. The topic shall be that the Relentless and Challenge must work together in a seek-and-destroy mission against a Rebel task force.

During the first week pilots shall describe various rivalries going on while the two ships are hunting down this task force. Battle against the rebel task force shall not begin until, a week into the competition, a post is given (by VA BubbaX) to indicate that the rebel forces have been found a battle has commenced. The ship that accumulates the most posts in the run-on shall be declared the victor of that division. Each run-on post must have significant substance, and ultimately whether a post counts or not shall be decided by VA BubbaX

The ship that wins at least 2 of the 3 divisions (TIE, XWA, runon) shall be declared the winner. At the same time, a side-comp involving the teams of the ChalFlags, the RelFlags, and the BGCOM and Mell shall compete against each other using the same TIE and XWA missions to have the right to brag against the others all day long and will also be awarded an IS-GW. Each team will fly the TIE and XWA missions, and both scores will be added together together to produce a final score. The team with the highest score shall be the victors.

Pilot of the Week/Month - Every week Cor will choose a pilot to be pilot of the week. Then at the end of the month, I will choose one of them and declare them the "Pilot of the Month". The PotM will recieve a IS-SR, while the remaining PotWs will be given IS-BRs.
This Week's Winner: CPT Dirty Vader!!!
Last Week's PotW: COL George!
1st Week's PotW: LT Marlin!

Challenge Meetings in #wing_x - Every Sunday at 9pm EST (GMT -05.00) we willl converge upon #wing_x and, after briefly discussing Wing events, will jump into a game of trivia or other such things. An IS-BR will be awarded at the end of the month to any person who wins an #wing_x event. If a person wins two #wing_x events over the course of a month, he will be awarded an IS-SR.
This week's Trivinator: CPT Dujhod (Someone please BEAT this guy already! ;))
Last week's Trivinator: CPT Dujhod!
1st week's Trivinator: CPT Dujhod!

Squadron of the Month - Every month I will declare a squadron the squadron of the month. The CMDR will be awarded the IS-SR, and any member he believes helped his squadron achieve that award will be awarded an IS-BR.

Unoffical Comp: Boss the COM Around - If you can get a total of 5 members of the ship to sign a petition for me to do something, I will do it. NOTE: I cannot be petitioned to award medals, give you a promotion, or kill your neighbor. I also cannot be petitioned to perform various acts that may be, due to health, biological, chemical, physical, or quantiumphysifiable reasons, impossible to perform.

TC Battlegroups News

-VA BubbaX is on leave until Thursday, and has left me in charge of the TC Battlegroups as his A-BGCOM. In a completely unreleated story, the M/FRG Harrbringer has disappeared while at the same time several convoys of beer suppliers have arrived at the Challenge's docking bay...

-RA Angel is also on leave this week, so the Collie falls to the shoulders of their new WC, MAJ Chris Cox! Congrats on the new job!

Fleet News

-Ops resigned. Prepare for massive complaining in the future about no new Ops ;P

-There's a new TAC comp that sounds pretty awesome, will basically have mission designers make missions on the spot. Check out the details here

-XWA TC 46 and TIE Free 250 were released this week. Woo!

-The Grey Wolf needs 3 new CMDRs. On a side note, I personally vow to never be in that situation ever :P

-SWGB battles need to be treated like normal battles; at least 4 missions long. Wow. A news post sent out to the entire fleet, but only really directed at Cor. Impressive ;P
