Greetings,
here we go again, since I was a slack last week, you`ll get the triple doze of a normal wing report. Triple?? yep..I`m including the stuff that happened over new years eve & the medals/BSFs etc that Shimir couldn`t include in the wing report I asked him to write while I was away over christmas. (A thx to Shimir at this point)
1.) just before I left last year I placed CM Shimir Sheerelk as new KAppa CMDR, since Zyrax decided to sep down due to upcoming RL issues.
2.) obviously the christmas days were a good time to fly, take IWATS for the Wing - I counted 17 passed IWATS & 99 flown battles, 25 free missions - quite impressed I was as I saw the BSFs flodding my inbox
3.) to end all rumours: yes it`s now FC/GA Astatine
4.) the location of our MB changed: http://mb.emperorshammer.net/viewforum.php?f=35
5.) the small "XMas-the Wing II way" - where you had to put down your wishes for the wing in 2005 ended with the following result:
- CM Shimir Sheerelk -> IS-SR
- LT Blitz -> IS-BR
6.) CoL time!! I receive a recc. mail/note from all CMDRs & sent the list to Stele. Now we just sit & wait who gets these precious awards...
7.) last but not least: Shinobi leaves the Wing and heads over to the Relentless to lead Dagger Squadron in Wing IX. Best of luck to you, <I`m pretty sure you`ll do great there...and give them a little doze of Wing II craziness.
*phew* finally done...I think I got it all covered...

New SCO website URL
22:11 - FA Ender mBind
Because of a dual outage, minos.net and
gimmie.tudelft.nl, both the more known SCO site mirrors are now down. However,
we have a new mirror at sco.emperorshammer.net.
This also works for any direct links in readme.txt files and such: replace "www.gimmie.tudelt.nl/homes/blok10/ender/sco" or "www.minos.net/~sco" with the new url.
Currently the new site is halfway between the old mirror and the minos site because the database has not been installed yet, meaning that sco urls ending in ".php" will probably give you errors.
The new site will be upgraded to a full SCO site. The gimmie.tudelft.nl will not be returning, as that location has been demolished.
As an extra, all the most important patches and files you may be needing, for example for the Casino Imperiale competition:
- EHSP-TIE: TIE Fighter 95 Ship Patch
- EHSP-XvT: X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter Ship Patch
- XWA S-Foils: X-Wing Alliance update patch to be bale to fly the GUN and MIS
- XP Installer: Utility needed to run SCO .bat patches (not EHSP) in XP.
- 32 bit TIE Patch: Replace the 16 bit version in the .bat patches (for all games) with this version if you run XP SP2.

The Tactical Office is in need of Testers (TCS) and
Tacticians (TCT) for all of its platforms! The requirements are: -Must have
passed TACS -Must have passed the mission creation course of the platform you
are applying for. All applications must go to RA Frodo March, VA Styles and the
TCC of the division you are applying for.

Re-send your CoL Recommendations!

Unfortunately, since Minos went down (and I used
the IMAP flavor of e-mail) I lost all of the CoL recommendations that were sent
in. Please re-send them to ops@emperorshammer.org
by Friday, January 14th at 11:59 EST. That also means if you couldn't find the
time to send them in the past week then you still have half a week to do so.
Minos.net Outage (And Change of OPS E-mail Address)
23:19 - AD Alex Foley
Earlier this week Minos.net (and all related
services) went down. Turtle, as many of you know, is headed to Iraq to serve in
the United States Army and will be gone for 18 months. I talked to his wife
earlier today, and she thinks that most likely his server was unplugged. She's
going to try and get it back online if she can. Unfortunately, since Turtle is
out of the country, Minos probably is not a very reliable hosting service. If it
comes back online, please back-up all of your files and try to find new hosting
(/me pokes the new FC).
Due to this outage, I have switched my e-mail address. To avoid spam, I'm not
going to post it here, but the ops@emperorshammer.org
redirect should now point to my new address. You can also log into the Tie Corps
database to see it once it's been changed. Please update your address books
accordingly if you've been using afoley@rawx.net.
