Hey all, and welcome to my very first Wing Report as your n00b Wing XIII WC!!! Now....I suppose I should tell you a little about myself, I know a few of you know me...but to the majority I'll be a bit of a stranger. Anyway, I started out as a LT on the Intrepid (yes...get the pelting with tomatoes and lettuce over with now), where I spent the entirety of my 22mth tour in Krayt Squadron. I also managed to hold the top job of Krayt CMDR for a full year before forced retirement and we won just about every tournament and comp that the Wing held. Yes yes, I know....we were lucky we weren't on the GW :P We also finished at 3rd place in SC VI, behind Vortex and Odin. After almost 2yrs in Krayt, I decided it was time to try my hand at hamming it up in an elite squadron, so I packed my bags for Tau Elite Squadron.

There I stayed for 3 months filled with drinking, drunken ranting/MP and chasing the various nurses and barmaids on the Tripidium around and having my way with them. And no....I dont hump their legs like a certain little COM we all know ;) Eventually I got a bit bored (wtf...idiot - I hear some of you say) and decided it was time to come back to some form of command position. It just so happened that the same week I decided this I was being PM'd and emailed et. al by Yodums, who wondered if I was interested in becoming the new Grey Wooluf WC. So after stringing him along for a bit (:P) I agreed, packed my bags and my favourite barmaid and here I am!

I've now been here a grand total of 3 days and I've caught up with the people I know and met a number of the other faces that inhabit the wing. I've also been VERY pleased with the warm reception I've received, considering I've never been on the GW before. I was half expecting a gaggle of rabid, foamy mouthed, robed monks to jump me when I landed in the hangar bay 3 days ago ;) So thank you all very much for that!

Alright then, now that the pleasantries are over....your all on kitchen and latrine duty slackers! >:oD j/k. Alright, well as you can see I'm not as funny as Yoda </suckup>, so normally my reports are somewhat serious, although as time goes on and I regularly inhabit the #wingxiii channel, I'm sure there'll be plenty of material for a few laughs and a QotW here and there. For now though, as I get settled in, meet everyone and get my $*** together for the looming SC VII, i'll keep on the point as much as possible....you guys wont want to be reading babbling reports while your flying etc for SC VII now will you? ;)


Fleet News;
 - Minos is down until further notice :(
 - Now that minos.net is down (and may be for good), the TO's Office and IWATS have been moved to http://www.imperialacademy.org/ - update your bookmarks everyone!
 - As you may or may not know, the position of Training Officer is currently open for apps. More details can be found on the TC news page for anyone interested....but noone is leaving until AFTER SC VII! :P
 - Commendations of Loyalty are to be awarded soon, and everyone is advised to be on their best behaviour as Yoda will be picking who gets them and who doesn't! ;) All recc's are due by the 10th, so it should only be another week/week and a half before we know who are Yoda's favourites!
 - The new TAC, Frodo, has announced a new Mission Creation Incentive Competition for the fleet. The pilot who submits the most battles (at least 3) to the TAC Office each month for the next three will receive an IS-PR. And an IS-GR to the pilot who submits the most free missions (at least 5) for those three Months.  - The TAC Office also released a battle and free mission this week. Download and fly (during SC of course ;)) XvT-TC 105 and XvT-Free 175.
 - Now, I know this was technically last week....but seeing it stars one of our own I thought I'd put it in. Last Saturday the TO banner competition finished with COL Kane Reese finishing 1st (IS-PR), LCM Darth Angelus in 2nd (IS-GR) and our own LC Kodiak in 3rd place, bringing home an IS-SR! Well done Kodiak!

Wing News;
 - Well, first of all....you all have a new Wing Commander! Yes...welcome to me...
 - In other news, SC VII is quickly approaching, and bar a possible delay due to loss of the ladders on minos.net, it will be starting next Saturday, the 15th of January. More info on this will be forthcoming, but as you all know, it's the biggest Battlegroup competition we have and we'll be fighting to keep our title as ASF Flagship! It will be in almost the exact same format as last year, with a few additions for Freeworlds and maybe a few changes in points and limitations of categories. I have it on good authority that Gilad has sent out the rules etc to the flaggies, so you should hear more from either Yoda or myself in the very near future. Prepare to fly your a$$es off everyone!!
 - The position of Valkyrie CMDR has now been filled, details will be forthcoming once made official by Cyric.
 - Unfortunately, I've only received 2 WSR's, from Vortex and Odin....however there may have been others that I did not receive seeing I've only just been appointed. If there are others, please send them through to me (at Crim5on@hotmail.com) just so I'm kept up to date with Squadron happenings.
 - As part of my new WCness, I will be submitting a number of competitions over the course of this week. Some will be 'incentive' based, and others will be to help you guys out with things to do for SC VII....such as fiction for example.
 - And onto my final bit of news for this week. It's time foooorrr.........AN ACTIVITY SCAN!!! YAY!! Thats right, I want everyone who is alive and able to reply to this email to do so. I want to hear from everyone! If you dont reply, then you'll be spanked and sent to your quarters without dinner and only be allowed a bucket and bread and water :P This activity scan will 'end' next Friday....so all of you please show me you have a pulse ;) Send all replies to Crim5on@hotmail.com.
 - Actually....one more thing, dont forget CMDRs....citations are a BIG point earner for SC, so over the course of the week I'd like to see you all work out a list of battles for your squadron so we can maximise the citations we gain during SC VII....and I'd like to see it in next weekends round of WSRs.
 - Well....just before I was set to send this I checked the roster page again, and noticed that we've gained a new member! Welcome to CM Magnus Vader, hot back from the RSVs, the new Valkyrie Flight II Leader!
