Wing X WC Report #1 - November 21, '04
-===Intro===-
By now, I'm sure you've all heard the bad news. I'm teh new ChalWC. Now, you may be wondering, "Cor! Did you get Bubba and Stuart really drunk before applying?" Well, to that I must answer in the affirmative. Very, very drunk, followed by pictures of them in compromising positions. Which gives me an idea for a fiction comp...but I digress.
To those in the Wing who don't know me, I've been a member of Typhoon off and on for the last couple of years. Originally was in 'Phoon under CMDR Boliv. Took a break...chilled in the ASF for a while. Came back to be a FM in Tempest for about 4-5 months before taking over a squad on the Immortal. When it was decommissioned, I brought that squad here, and reopened Typhoon which had been closed a few months prior.
I'm looking forward to some good times. :P
Secondary note...all my reports will be uploaded to both the TC Database, and the tcbg.net site. So if you ever need to look at old ones, there they are!

* You've most likely heard this, but former WC BubbaX is now the TCBG BGCOM. Grats to him. I think...
* I've replaced Bubba as ChalWC
* Probably noticed this from last week, but Azurin has taken over as CMDR of Thunder. Congrats to her.
*CPT Dirty Vader is going to be retiring to the RSV's for a while due to RL commitments. Big thanks to him for a job well done with 'Phoon. In the meantime, I'm in the need of a CMDR to get Typhoon back on its feet (numbers in the squad are low to the loss of about four pilots over the last few weeks). Information about the vacant CMDR spot can be found either at http://www.ehnet.org/mb/viewtopic.php?t=4368 or at the Typhoon site ( http://typhoon.tiecorps.net/ ). A FL is needed as well; if you or anyone you know is interested, drop me a line.

1. Auroraholonet Logo Design Competition. This is an EH-wide graphics competition. Design a banner or logo for a new web hosting service that Ast will be launching for EH members called the Aurora Holonet. 1st place gets a IS-PR, 2nd place gets a IS-GR, 3rd place gets a IS-SR. Is open until December 31st of this year, with submissions going to Ast.
2. Webmail skin design competition. This is an EH-wide coding competition. Design a skin for a TIE Corps webmail service or generic EH webmail service. The skinning guide is available here (61k PDF). Examples are available at http://www.mailenable.com/skins/ . 1st place gets a IS-PR, 2nd place gets a IS-GR, 3rd place gets a IS-SR. Is open until December 31st of this year, with submissions going to Ast.
3. ECR! The only event still open is the Mission Design section. So if you're in on the Chal crew for that....go you! :P
Expect several Wing comps to begin soon as well.

Report isn't that big, I suppose, but next one should be a bit more fleshed out. When I get emails for everything and stuff. Also, just so y'all are all informed, I'll actually be out of touch next week. BHG Thanksgiving '04 has much more promise this year, and I doubt I'll have time to get to a computer. So anything that can await, go ahead and send me...anything important, Stuart eagerly awaits. :P
Yes. And please...spend some time recruiting. It'd make me a happy camper.
