A lot of you are probably seeing a lowering in morale and a lowering in the number of wing email activity. I am also seeing less squad reports and activity but this is what you expect when you see me, the Wing Commander, not focussing on his duties. I have to admit that the activity is not what it should be despite the many ship and fleet orders for us to follow. One thing that is not lowering, and keep this in mind because it's important with our potential, our numbers are coming back up and the Wing II personnel stands at 30. So I've been doing some rethinking. What needs to be done and continue to be done is for me to constantly keep the wing and CMDRs up to date via wing reports as well as the regular email chatter. I've mostly had lack of time due to weird work hours and the last quarter of college coming up. So, this is what I will do to ensure activity comes back up as well as interest: The squadron reports, as well as the wing report, must be delivered to the wing personnel in a weekly timely manner. By this I mean that reports must be distributed within a 6 to 7 day period from eachother. It doesn't matter to me which day of the week as long as it's in a timely manner. That goes for me too =P The Squadron CMDRs, as well as myself are encouraged to send a letter to myself as well as the rest of the Wing II command staff (Proton included if you like) on what you intend to do within the next three months as CMDR. I think this letter will be beneficial to you as it will help you to see if you're still up to the job. I remember doing this once a year ago and two CMDRs realized that they were not fit for the job of CMDR anymore. It helped them and me as well as the wing run efficiently Squadrons are encouraged to engage in a simple match against an outside squadron to promote activity again asap. We will need to find topics of interest to get the emails up and running. I havn't heard from the old vets in a while and I know they're there but topics of interest keep everyone going. Sovereign Battle of the Month: Ok, the BotM due date is upon us on the 7th. I've done 3 missions so far. Lets get in those fighters and finish up the job. Freelancer did a fantastic job in this battle, it's quite funny. SOVEREIGN AND FLEET NEWS AND NOTES -- Imperial Storm V heads toward a boiling point. The Sov holds two planets and is aiming for more soon. The BGs have three planets. Expect fighting very soon. I am happy to point out that CM Sandor Clegane, admiral of one of our fleets, is doing a great job in the wargame. Sadly, MAJ Aft Skylek has been bounced from the fleet 2 admiral's chair for lack of contact. Palpatine help the Sov team, because I am leading both fleets 1 and 2. COL Nurel Turr also is assisting Clegane with Fleet 3. Summer Patrol Awardees: That summer patrol this summer finally ended and we saw our share of Wing II participants get awarded the Iron Star-Gold Wing. A difficult medal to obtain, these pilots worked hard at it and got the medal: LC Tempest MAJ Aft CPT Zeth CPT Zyrax CM Shayn LCM Granite LCM Brukhar LCM Shinobi Speaking of medals.
