Currently in orbit around Aurora.

Greetings again, Wing XIII.

A bad week for ship numbers, I'm afraid. This is attributed to both positive and negative events. Sadly, some members did not pass the regulation flight checkups and were left on Aurora. In happier news, though we will miss him, Lieutenant Colonel Vladet Xavier left us for Avenger Elite Squadron, where we expect great things from him. Well done for achieving this prestigious position.

==News from the Fleet==
Flight Officer Cyric has revised the guidelines for the appointment of returning pilots to the rank of General. He sent a message to the fleet, copied here, that explains the confusion. Somewhat.
Recently I've had a few requests for some members to be promoted to the rank of General while they are in FM or FL spots in squadrons. This is not allowed, nor will I ever allow this. However...

The rank of General is probably the most prestigious of all the ranks in the TieCorps. Very difficult to earn and highly respected, it is often reserved for Elite members who exhibit activity and loyalty above and beyond as well as Wing Commanders.

My exception to the "normal" squadron rule is that if a pilot comes from the reserves or transfers into a squadron and they held the General rank, they shall be allowed to retain it. These pilots have earned it, thus earning the right to keep the rank.

If a high ranking member RA and greater retires and comes back to the TC in a squadron FM position they sall revert to the traditional COL rank if they've never held the General rank before gaining their Admiral bars.

It's time for the semi-annual awarding of the Commendations of Loyalty. Squadron Commanders will recieve a mailing from me soon with instructions about the awarding of these.

==Competitions==

General Stele advises that his Summer Patrol competition is now into its fifth round. Wing XIII still has several pilots left, keep up the good work.

The Sovereign Squadron League appears to be in disarray, with no one really knowing what is going on. Phoenix Squadron was in the semi finals, last I heard. Well done to Lieutenant Colonel Choosh and his squadron.

Mission Creation Wars is on again, time for all the pilots so inclined to design new simulations. Captain Joey and myself are the Grey Wolf entrants.

==Activity==

"Freeworlds" activity continues nicely, and some pilots are rumoured to still fly for the Summer Patrol.

==Wing Commander's Office==

Well, I don't have much to say. Several members of the ship, including myself, fell sick this week, but we all seem to be better. Activity and new comps will hopefully pick up soon.

Until then, I leave you with another number from the production of Episode III by Disney, as seen in the Battlegroup report.

"Rule by Power" - Staring Mon Mothma, Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine.

Rule by Power!
What a wonderful phrase
Rule by Power!
Ain't no passing craze

It means no freedom
For the rest of your days
It's our problem-free philosophy
Rule by Power!

Why, when he was a young Chanc'lor...
	When I was a young Chancellooooor!!!
Very nice.
	Thanks!
He found his bills lacked a certain ideal
He could clear the senate after every appeal
	I'm a sensitive soul, though I seem thick-skinned
	And it hurt that my friends never stood downwind
	And oh, the shame
(He was ashamed!)
	Thoughta changin' my name
(Oh, what's in a name?)
	And I got downhearted
(How did you feel?)
	Ev'rytime that I...
Palpy! Not in front of the kids!
	Oh... sorry.

Rule by Power!
What a wonderful phrase
Rule by Power!
Ain't no passing craze
It means no freedom
For the rest of your days
	Yeah, sing it, kid!
It's our problem-free
philosophy...
Rule by Power!

Rule by Power!
[Repeats]

It means no freedom
For the rest of your days.
It's our problem-free philosophy
Rule by Power
[Repeats]
