Wing XIV weekly report #18 - 01/17/2004

- WING NEWS-
Here we are again for another Wing report. This was another busy week for Wing XIV and I've seen a lot of activity especially IWATS. I have heard nothing from our Commodore so I guess he is still on Leave. Due to Frodo's LoA I had to recommend the Commendation of Loyalty medals and that was something I'd have been glad to skip because there are so many good and dedicated pilots in this Wing but I could recommend only three of them for the CoL. It was a very hard decision for me and I hope Frodo will agree with my candidates. Fortunately we have plenty of competition where you all can participate and win shining Imperial Stars. As promised, starting today and running until the end of January is the WC's Own competition. We are a ASF Wing so I decided that this time I will pick the new WC's Own squadron with a CR Race, basically the squadron that gets most CR points during the next two weeks will be the WC's Own for the month of January. You can play against your wingmen or against other pilots of the Intrepid, every official EH multiplayer competition counts and you don't even have to send me screenshots or match reports because I'll use COO notifications (you know, it's good to finally have a COO who processes LoCs in less than two weeks ;p). Of course the Beat the COM's Protector competition is still running. Round #2 will end TODAY at 23:59 EST so you still have a few hours to fly XvT-Free 30 and try to beat the COM's Protector High Score. Starting from tomorrow there will be Round #3, the mission to fly this time is XvT-Free 156 and the COM's Protector score is 78,080 points. There are other important competitions going on for all of you Top Guns: the XvT Week of War, the XWA/XvT ladders and the two ASF-wide flying competitions. As usual full details are in the Competitions section of this report, don't miss it. Returning to our Wing, there have been some roster changes. LT KramCola has been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Commander and he is the new Flight 2 Leader of Cobra squadron. LT Predator is the new Flight 3 Leader of Krayt squadron. SL ButtNoise has joined Cobra squadron and he fulfilled the Lieutenant requirements in no time. Welcome aboard and congratulations on your quick promotion! Too bad that LT Rax Von-Klug has been hooked by Tau squadron after only one week. Damn "l33t" squadrons, at least he could stay within our Battlegroup and join AES... The WC Commendation of the week goes to MAJ Daisuke Airyu, congratulations and keep up the good work! Ok, I think that is all from me.

Details: Every week Frodo will announce the COM protectors score for a certain mission, the pilots of the Intrepid will attempt to beat this score and half a full week to do so. The pilots who beat the COM protectors score will get an IS-BW for that week, if the COM protector's score is unbeaten, he will get an IS-BW. If the COM protector remains unbeaten for the whole month, he gets an IS-SW. However, the pilot who beats him the most, will get the IS-SW if he is beaten.

Start Date: 01/01/2004
End Date: 01/31/2004

Medals to be awarded: IS-SW, IS-BW + LoCs and DFCs

Details: the squadron that gets the most CR points (LoC = 1 pt. , DFC = 5 pts.) during the next two weeks will be the WC's Own for the month of January. The two best individual scorers will also receive a IS-SW and IS-BW medals. I'll be using COO Notifications so any win got in a official EH MP competition (WoW, FO 2vs2 and EH Ladders included) counts toward your final score.
