Finally things are moving, pilots are arriving, first testing assignment is out and the beta is very close to being released.

Pilots, more pilots!
It is with great pleasure I welcome MAJ Savageaz, CM Dulcatos, LT Theodore Bronson, LCM Nutrientman, CM Conjre, SL Clarg Zethman and LT Debric to the ISD Immortal!
I hope your stay with us will be a good one and in order to help matters along, if you stop by the bar I'll buy you a few drinks.
 
 
First task

Message board and more
A message board has been created for our exclusive use. This board is for our eyes only (and one or two overly curios CSs) which makes it a excellent place to discus testing related things, post screenshots, run pools etc etc.
We also has two other main ways of communication, our channel on IRC and the wing's mailing list. I encourage everyone to use all of these since the more we communicate the better job we'll do.

BG Meetings
It has been decided that there'll be a weekly BG meeting in #TCBG on IRC each Sunday at 11:00 pm GMT (6:00 pm EST). Attendance is not mandatory in any ways but it might be a good way to get a feeling of what's happening in the BG and get to know pilots from other ships.
After the meeting there'll be trivia with medals awarded to the winners.
 
 
Medals
Congratulations to MAJ Savageaz for being awarded a Silver Star of the Empire for "In January and February of 2005 Sav helped lead Avenger Squadron to finish as the top squadron in ASF:SC VII. During this time he flew an amazing 744 missions". Well done!
Also congratulations to CM Dulcatos on receiving a IS-BW for achieving second place in the RelVsChal competition (TIE part)!
 
 
The Status of the ISD Immortal
Most of our pilots has arrived (only two missing now) and while the beta isn't quite ready yet we have received our first assignment. Although not a flying one it's still important and we'll take great pride in doing it right.
The beta release is very close to being done, unless something goes wrong it should be uploaded to my server sometime tonight, after which I'll create accounts for everyone and then the testing can commence.
Once we get the beta we'll spend the first week familiarizing ourselves with it. Testing and bug hunting will be done but the primary objective of the first week is to get everyone up and running and comfortable with the game. During this first week we'll run a "Coolest screenshot" competition as a mean to help us explore the game, the one that submits the coolest looking screen will get a nice and shiny IS-SR. I'm expecting 100% participation in this comp.
 
 
Fleet News

Imperial Storm: Helpers Required
Imperial Storm V is just around the corner. The rules are 99% done and thanks to SovCOM/VA Stele, we also have a map now. Please check out the War Office site for full details.

I am now looking for people to assist me during the war-game itself - specifically people who can make the XWA Skirmish files and TIE & XvT single player missions for the battles. The SP missions only need to be simple - no briefings or messages. If you're interested in helping out with this, please email me at spellfire@btinternet.com. Shiny things for people who help!
