                              Wing News
Looks like we lost a few more pilots this week but thanks to everyones efforts, the wing is holding steady at 53 members. As I said last week I really want to see us hit 60 soon, so please everybody email a couple of cadets a week and lets fill our empty positions on the double.

Ill give you a few more details on the Flight Wars since so many of you seem to be hounding my A:WC about it. As you know starting April 15, 2003, I will be hosting the first ever Flight Wars aboard the ISD Vanguard. First off there will be the bracket draw held tomorrow April 6th in the #Isdvanguard IRC channel at 4pm eastern time so if you wish to find out who your opponents will be in round one, drop by and check it out. The actual events you will be doing for round one will be released on April 14th via the e-group. I will tell you this will be a single elimination tournament so the losers go home, end of story and the winners advance. All members of the winning Flight will receive IS-SW not to mention unlimited access to the Tigers Den beer supply. The Second place flight will receive IS-BW's and a pat on the back. It looks to be a new and interesting type of competition and I hope you all enjoy it!! More to come soon.

7.  There is a new competition being hosted by CPT Terrik and Theta Squadron called the Theta Squadron invitational. It will be using TIE squadrons only so if your squad has what it takes please go sign your team up today. Info on TC news page.

                  Vanguard standing orders
Standing Order #1: (RL) Real Life first!
Of course the first and foremost thing is RL. It is highly recommended to take all RL matters first and before all ship functions, unless you just don't care. I would like to enforce this order to all members. But please be reminded that you should inform your superiors of any situation so that we can count you on LOA, and don't forget to mark your profile stating your on Leave. Even if your only going to be on leave for 2 days, please mark your absence. This way if it takes longer than we know where you are and won't count you as MIA/AWOL.

Standing Order #2: Reports
I expect a Squadron report every week from every Commander on Friday unless I am told in advance of a RL situation that prevents you from sending one in on time but I do expect it when you return from leave.  This will get you removed from command immediately.  They must also be uploaded to the database.

                         COMPETITIONS
FCHG COMPETITION
The Pilot gaining the most FCHG Points during the month of March will receive an IS-SW and the runner up will get a IS-BW.

VANGUARD JOUST
Our Mp competition with points being awarded as follows:
10 POINTS---DFC
05 POINTS---PER WIN
03 POINTS---PER LOSS
01 POINTS---EACH COMPETITION PARTICIPATED IN
The one with the most points receives an IS-SW and the runner up gets an IS-BW.

RECRUITMENT COMPEITION
The Pilot assisting and aiding in the placement of the most recruits(cadets or reservists) during the month will receive an IS-SR and the runner up will receive an IS-BR.

FICITON COMPEITION
This will be our fiction competition.  Write as many peices of fiction you care to and submit them to me.  I will compile them all at the end of the month and submit them for the NL.  Myself and COM Sickman will judge the winners.  The winner receives an IS-SR and the runner up an IS-BR.
