Wing News

I'm back! Finals are over, the quarter is over, I've straightened RL priorities, and I'm eager to get back in the chair. If you're wondering why a report came out today and not on monday or tuesday like usual it was because of finals.
Summer is just around the corner and things are picking up.
-SSL Round 7 is due the June 18th! This is the second to last round of the Sovereign Squadron League. Final round will consist of the playoff so fly your best. It's almost over.
-Operation Outrageous Fortune Wargame (Ends): I'm sure you've already heard but I'll reiterate. Red Team (that would be Wing II, Wing III and Omega) officially lost to Blue Team in this wargame. The final score was approximately 33000 to 32000. Yes, a very close battle indeed. We were winning a lot of the battles but the Blue Team won more points by sitting on their planets. I do believe, however, that this wargame played a positive factor for the entire Sovereign, though. We are now battle ready for the fleet wargame Imperial Storm IV. The other ships will surely be in for a surprise.
-Tempest's Imperial Battlechess (future competition): Tempest's competition kicked off a few days ago and it's now in it's seeding phase. All pilots are to fly a seeding mission that will determine everyone's teammate. Details at the site and in the Wing Orders below. http://tib.minos.net
Wing2 Site: Site has been updated http://wingii.tiecorps.net BUT Minos is down again. So you can't really visit it right now =P
Misc: There were quite a few medals passed out this week. Details in Personnel.
-MAJ Koriel has decided to step down as CMDR of Sigma Squadron. I'd like to thank him for his hard work in getting the squadron reactivated a few months ago. I'm currently not looking for anyone to fill the spot yet so don't apply. I still need to talk with Koriel about this matter.
-New Recruits: Yes, believe it or not we still get people to join our wing. Jan Wemmel has decided to leave the rank of admirals to join our humble little wing. He's joining Kappa Squadron. Argon Viper, a former Wing VI member with those of Rho, is joining Rho Squadron. Welcome back you two. Always glad to see the veterans returning.
-Possible Summer Competition: I know what you're thinking, "You'll be overwhelmed with competitions this summer!" Don't worry, this one that is being planned is purely voluntary. Details will come in a couple days.
