Wing III Report # 14 (2002-02-02)

This report was submitted by LC Jahan Kalar

Greetings Wing III and welcome to another Wing III Wing Report. As was the big news last week, big news this week is a new commander for Aleth Squadron. Commander Arcanian Stirner has returned from the abyss of slacking that is Praetorian Squadron (just kidding) and has seen the light that is Wing III. In other news, I'm redoing the Wing III website to look cool, and to also be a lot more usefull as a resource for you guys (since I doubt many people outside of the Wing visit it). So you will be able to get information on what you should all be doing and other things. Also, the NYX Round 2 ended yesterday, but I am very busy and was unable to start the new round today. Hopefully that will be out tomorrow. One more thing, I've been having a few e-mail problems lately, so if I miss a few things, don't take it to mean it's not important. And if you're still waiting on a response on something from me, try sending it again, I may have had problems with your message. Thanks, and now on to the report.

Position Changes and Promotions
Commander Arcanian Stirner is the new Aleth Commander. Drinks are on him. If you remember what I said last week, this is the third week in a row with a new Squadron Commander. Auto and Josh, are you guys going to stay put maybe? ;)
Commander Eriond Kath'Razzit is the new Wing III Recruiting Officer. Hopefully he has some plans to help Wing III become once again the biggest Wing on the Sov so we can have another reason to brag. Let's see...we already have the manly men and the pretty girls, we have the most advanced ships, we use the newest flying platform...I guess we don't need anything more to brag about, but let's go for it anyways :)
LT Eckton Azori has joined Aleth Squadron. Aleth now has 5 pilots. This is good, hopefully more people will follow Eckton's lead.
Medals
Captain Cal Sinis has been awarded a Silver Star for his excellent work throughout his Tie Corps career. Good FLs and squadron XOs are the backbone of the fleet and are just as necessary as commanders and wing commanders. Excellent job Cal, drinks are on us!
IWATS
LCM Alhana Creed has completed the TT, XTT, IIC/1/2/3 IWATS courses. Wow, someone felt like learning some stuff. I'd like to see more of this please :)
CPT Josh Popelka completed IIC/3 and RT IWATS courses. While LCM Alhana Creed took a great number of courses, just taking a few at a time is ok too.
Orders
Get ready for the 3rd round of the NYX that will start tomorrow hopefully. Unless of course your Wing Commander has a sudden case of "I am a Command Officer so I can do whatever I want and put off the competition". Not that that ever happens of course.
Recruit a lot, hopefully Eriond will be helping us with this soon.
Fly battles, do IWATS, send me large denomination bills ($1000 would be good, but $100 would do) in the mail, stuff like that.
Other News
Aleth Squadron is the first group to take advantage of my free web hosting. The new Aleth site is http://aleth.wing3.net. Remember, if you have a webpage you'd like hosted, just e-mail me and I'll see what I can do. You can get a whatever.wing3.net URL or provide your own domain if you want.
Today was 02-02-02, as Zekk pointed out to us all.
Beth and Hey did CRTs for January. A reminder to all commanders, your squadron should be doing one each month so you (and I) can have a good idea of how active your squadron is.
CRT Scores
Aleth: NA
Beth: 0
Gimel: NA
Daleth: NA
Hey: 5 (way to go Hey, give yourselves a hand)
Other Stuff
Politics - "Poli" meaning "many" and "tics" meaning "blood sucking parasites".
That's all for now...until next time, shoot straight and faster than they do.
