Wing XIX Weekly Wing Report #2
February 18th, 2009

Major Miles "Tails" Prower, Wing Commander Reporting

Introduction
Welcome to my second report, pilots. I wish I could tell you that conditions have improved since last report, but I cannot. Just recently, I had no other choice but to remove Fury and Flayer's commanders, CM Verigos and CPT Wondra. CM Verigos has been moved to Fury Flight 3 as a Flight Member, but Captain Wondra has been AWOLed for willfully neglecting his duties, and refusing to carry them out even when ordered, having been deliberately been inactive and non-reporting since November. That kind of behavior is unacceptable under any circumstance, and his fate should be a warning to those of you out there who would contemplate doing the same.

So this means that two squadron commander positions are open, correct? Wrong. As usual, our own RichyV presents himself to lend a hand when the going gets tough, and he has been promoted from Lieutenant Commander to full Commander. Though he doesn't have the advantage of having the Squadron Management course available, he will not be left in the dark without a light. I will be giving him a crash course, and any helpful advice from seasoned vets of all squadrons and Wings are of course welcome.

I will be giving CM RichyV a 10 day extension that he requested on his report so that he can compile what he needs for it and settle in.

As for Flayer, it will need a Commander. The position is officially open for applications, Corps-wide. At minimum, you must be a Lieutenant, and have passed Squadron Management (any version, preferably if an older version, refreshing with the latest SM when it comes available) or be able to take the exam as soon as the new TIE Corps Academy is brought online.

This position is a 6 month Tour of Duty commitment, so only those serious about doing the work that the job entails should apply. This Wing has already seen commanders go because of their inability to meet their commitments, and I want that trend to stop here.

Applications can be e-mailed to me at tc.milesprower@gmail.com. If the successful applicant is from the Reserves, they will be directly transferred upon the TCCOM's approval.

If the successful applicant is transferring from another active squadron, the procedure goes as followed (adjusted from the SM/3 Notes):
1. The applicant requests the transfer first from their own Commander by e-mail.
2. If approved, the applicant should send a transfer request e-mail to their Commander, CCing their own Wing Commander and myself.
4. I will reply to all on the transfer request, and CC to the TCCOM
5. The TCCOM will then approve the transfer.

Good luck.

-Generate some activity! Even a simple e-mail will keep you going, though racking in BSFs leads to sweet rewards :)

Competitions
-No Wing XIX competitions are currently ongoing. TC/EH-wide competitions can be found here: http://tc.emperorshammer.org/competitions.php
