New Competition: Wing X vs. Wing XVIII
We've been offered a friendly competition vs. Wing XVIII. This is slightly complex, so I'll explain as best as I can. Any questions, ask! This is a competition to be fought out over 2 rounds. The first round is TIE, using Free TIE 178 and the second is XWA, using Free XWA 35. Both these missions need to be flown and sent to your CMDRs for processing by 21st May. CMDRs I'll be in touch with you shortly about how to do your scoring for this comp. :) Both missions are attached. There will be an IS-SW for the top scoring pilot in EACH Free mission, and an IS-BW for the second highest scoring pilot in EACH Free mission up for grabs.

For your information, the high score on the TIE mission is 73,742; the high score on the XWA mission is 13,751.

I couldn't actually GET to imperialacademy.org at the time of writing to get this comp approved, but the BGCOM has given his blessing, so it's all go. I'll get it approved later. :P

Situation Calm
Following a number of issues this week, things seem to have calmed down, and I hope they will stay that way. To reiterate, I am not leaving Wing Commander, so you can all stop slacking now. :P

Tempest CMDR Open for Application
Sadly CMDR/CPT Kaneda Pellail has decided that he can no longer fulfill the obligations of CMDR, so I'm taking applications for the position. Please send your application to me (mairin@isdchallenge.org) by this Friday. A decision will be made by the end of the weekend.

Challenge Newsletter Submissions Being Taken Now

Challenge Recruitment Programme
In our infinite wisdom, Locke and I have started up a new Challenge Recruitment Programme. This is being run by our very own CM Dex d'Alcobia from Thunder, and ably aided and abetted by recruitment officers ship-wide. Current officers are:

Even if you're not an official recruitment officer, this doesn't stop you getting stuck in and recruiting people. If you want more information on recruiting, please talk to Dex!

Wing X Wargame
Thunder have been declared the default winners of the Wing X Wargame. Hopefully we can get another of these going at some point in the future if everyone would like to.
