LC Proton hands out cantina passes and fifths of Hutt whiskey to 21 Wing V pilots, who, grinning, immediately file into Airlock 21. Twenty-five other pilots return to their various duties -- cleaning the Sovereign's waste tanks, scrubbing The Pit, cleansing scum off The Tank, hosing out The Cage, shoveling Bantha poodoo out of the Wing III hangar section.

WING NEWS AND STATUS

- We flew against Wing VI in May and I am pleased with our performance. We're awaiting VI's results. Results in attachment.

- RED ALERT! Wing V vs. Wing I. Fly TC-TIE Battle 163 by June 30. Battle attached.

- RED ALERT II! Wing V Citation Race! Members of the squadron that racks up the most new squadron citations in June will receive medals!

- RED ALERT III! We're facing the Infiltrator Wing's Shadow Squadron in a six-week event. Currently up: Pe vs. Shadow.

- I'm flying against Shadow CMDR/MAJ Khaen as a postscript to the ongoing comp. The mission is TC-TIE free 152. Deadline is June 8.

- Other upcoming major competitions planned:

Tiger is an experienced Wing Commander, and has a lot to offer the new ship. With this promotion, there are two Wing Commander positions open, for Wings XIX and XX.

- Orator of the week: MAJ Wil Striker!
"(Addressing his Samekh Squadron) Since you found time to get drunk and make a mess out of the Airlock with the rest of the pilots in Wing V, you now have plenty of time for extra duties since you all apparently don’t need any additional training time in the simulators."
Pressing a button on his podium, the doors opened to welcome Dude and Leroy to the gathering. "Gentlemen, LC Proton’s Assistants have offered to watch over each of you as you clean out the exhaust ports on every fighter in the squadron with a toothbrush." Leroy chattered with enthusiasm, and Dude uttered a low growl as they observed the pilots.
"Dude, Leroy, they are all yours. Make sure they don’t miss a spot on my fighters," Striker added as the Wing V Assistants herded the drunken pilots to the Hangar Deck.
Striker stared after the group as they filed out of the room, hoping that this would be the last time he would have to give such severe punishment to his pilots for their inactivity."

"Heh, well since I outrank you in every way, you are hereby notified that you will cease this lunatic behaviour before our WC pulls out the torture equipment.
We don't need attitudes like this when LC Proton is trying to make a point about activity and communication within Wing V. Or should I say, lack of activity and communication within Wing V?
Pilots, it's time to get serious and get back to the level of activity that Wing V is known for throughout the fleet. Right now we are making a meager showing against Wing VI, who we should be stomping the life out of. We are also showing very little participation against Shadow Squadron from the IW with each week that passes. So instead of acting up like this, let's put that energy to use in flying, taking IWATS courses, creating fiction, creating missions/battles, communicating on the Wing V MB, etc. There are many things that everyone is capable of doing to stay active, and this is not one of those ways." -MAJ Wil Striker
