(Ender you sure this thing can fly in this)

Resting his back against a burned out console Hawk looked from left to right for his blaster rifle but for all the force in the galaxy he could not find it, "Update trooper, how's that download going" called out Hawk.
"Sir the download nearly complete but there's no way out of here" reply the Trooper.
Pulling his Blaster out his holster Hawk let off a couple shots into the darkness of the ship "Those charges set in here yet anyone" Hawk said driving behind cover again.
"Enough of them are Sir , but the trooper assign to it took the first volley Sir" said a Trooper bent over his dead comrade.
Watching the red bolts thump against the wall over his head Hawk wiped the sweat from his face 'Great the chargers are set my team trap and the download nearly over' making a run over to the console by the download he duck his head down, "Ok Team as soon as the download complete we got make a move everyone, so on my signal charge" said Hawk.
"O yeah what a great plan" muttered a trooper near Hawk.

Standing by the main reactor core the Master at Arms tug off his helmet, "I want charges there, one on the main core and then around the main bulk head" he said point at his position he wanted the charges.
Flipping open a case a trooper took out five charges and handed them around, "You hear the Sergeant where he wants these, so get to it" said the Trooper slamming the case shut.
From the doorway into the room a trooper duck his head in, "Sergeant I can hear faint blaster fire but there's no sign of enemy movement around us" said the Trooper.
Pulling back on his helmet the Master at Arms click his com link on, "Team Two here, we hearing blaster fire all teams please report in Over" he said holding his hand to his ear.
"This is Cat Claw, We got no problems by the docking port Over".
Slamming a new power pack in his rifle the Master At Arms watched as the last of the charges was place in to position, "Ok team we got 15 mins before the charges blow, we move out to the transport first so lets get to it" said the Master at Arms.

"Go Go Go" shouted Hawk raising from his cover letting off a couple of shots, From his side a trooper was taken off his feet by a shot to the neck bringing bubbling blood spilling out of the trooper neck.
Laying on the deck with his hand trying to cover his stomach the Trooper stare up towards the on going fire fight, when a blinding flash echoed around the room.
Charging through the blast door Hawk body check the nearest rebel sending the rebel slamming into the wall, bringing his blaster level he let off a shot a the last five rebels in sight behind their cover the blaster bolt wash across the nearest rebel face leaving burning skin.
Falling backwards the rebel Lt hand went limp letting a silver ball roll out and down the corridor, from his side a rebel trooper stood up and let a volley of shots off before running off at a fast pace away from the fight.
Trying slip side ways as the rebel let off a volley of shots Hawk glance down at a object rolling towards him but just as he did he was overwhelm by a steering heat washed over his chest sending Hawk into a rolling fall to the floor, just as Hawk head slammed against the deck and blinding light sent him into a blackness.

"Sir we got 7 mins before the charges blow and there's still no signal from team one", said a trooper walking along side the Master at Arms.
"Ok you take the team back to the transport and il take five men and check on team one" said the Master at Arms selecting five troopers from his team.
Picking up pace the five troopers race along the ship towards the bridge as the time ticked down on the charges, entering the hallway near the bridge the Master at Arms looked on at the screen before him a mass of bodies littered the deck while smoke poured from numerous blaster hits along the walls and doors while the bridge was completely blacked out from his side he notice movement, "Quick help me get him on his feet" called out the Master at Arms.
"Sir we got 3 mins before it blows" said a trooper.
"Ok you check for anyone else, while get the Major out of here and you get the data pad with the downloaded data and hurry, Get to it team" said the Master at Arms helping to carry Hawk towards the transport.

More next week...........

Vanguard Sensors

This new section will help us keep up to date with XWA patches and add-ons that pop up from time to time and to start us off is the great XWAU, Which im going force everyone in the fleet to get 'joking'.

Our goal is to redo most of the original opts from Lucas Arts' X-Wing Alliance. We find that many of those opts are done in an inadequate way. A lot of the possibilities like illuminated textures, transparent faces are not used in the extent possible. When the XWA Upgrade project is done, the game will have some of the best 3D-Models seen in games so far.
We want to upgrade X-Wing Alliance, so please understand that this will lead to higher minimum requirements than the original XWA had. This is also only a graphical update. Statistics of ships will be mostly left alone. Only few changes will be made, but those will be tested in game to see whether or not they change the game balance too much, This project is only to upgrade craft already in the game, and therefore which appear during the scope of the campaign (which ends at the Battle of Endor). Because the E-wing and K-wing weren't introduced until after XWA takes place they won't be included.

The only new craft to be added are ones which enhance the atmosphere of the campaign, and therefore exist during the XWA timeframe: Namely, the Battle of Endor. While the exact ships to be added aren't wholly decided, those in strongest contention are the Rebellion's medical-variant Nebulon-B Frigate, Home One, (which has the strongest support of addition) Vader's TIE Advanced x1 and the StarViper (which was listed in Totally Game's FAQ). 'Hear news that they are now adding all these craft but it hasnt come from the project leader mouth so its a bit dodgie"

Novels Of The Week

Its time for novel of the week again where i bring you three books of great reading and today's books range from good to O my god that the best thing iv ever read anyway on with the section and the first book is'

TimeLine by Michael Crichton, An old man wearing a brown robe is found wandering disoriented in the Arizona desert. He is miles from any human habitation and has no memory of how he got to be there, or who he is. The only clue to his identity is the plan of a medieval monastery in his pocket. The mystery will catapult a group of young scientists back to the Middle Ages and into the heart of the Hundred Year's War. I love this book and im sure its going be a big screen favourite like Jurassic Park, Timeline also combines all the ingredients that make Crichton's books compulsive reading and a brilliantly imagined story.

Stonehenge a novel of 2000bc by Bernard Cornwell, One summer's day, a stranger carrying great wealth in gold comes to the settlement of Ratharryn. He is killed in the old temple. The people assume that the gold is a gift from the gods but the mysterious treasure causes great dissension within the tribe and beyond. The three sons of Ratharryn's chief each perceive the great gift in a different way. The eldest, Lengar, the warrior, harness his murderous ambition to be a ruler and take great power for his tribe. Camaban, the second son and an outcast, becomes a visionary and feared wise man, and it is his vision that will force the youngest brother, Saban, to create the great temple on the green hill where the gods will appear on earth. Stonehenge is a great book where Cornwell bridge the gap between history and fiction and brings a new world alive.

Star Wars The New Jedi Order Hero's Trial, by James Luceno, Merciless attacks by an invincible alien force have left the New Republic reeling. Dozens of worlds have succumbed to occupation or annihilation and even the Jedi Knights have tasted deafeat. In these darkest of times, the noble Chewbacca is laid to rest, having died as heroically as he lived-and a grief- stricken Han Solo is left to fit the pieces of his shattered life back together before he loses everything: friends, family and faith. New Jedi Order series is a wonderful carry on from the classic books and films bringing back the hero's of past to battle a new breed of evil and i enjoyed this book.

Games Of The Week

God these reports nack me out anyway on the Game of the week this section reviews three games from beta testers to the shop self's boxes you got love this job or die a old sad man 'where did that come from' ok ok before i start moaning lets get this section rolling. First game is,

This game is a crap it tries to milk of the great game of Rogue by trying recreate it but it fails by adding you guest it Jar Jar and loss points for killing him.

Fallout 2 publish by Interplay, Fallout 2 is the sequel to the critically acclaimed game that took RPG'ing out of the dungeons and into a dynamic, apocalyptic retro-future. It's been 80 long years since your ancestor, the "Vault Dweller" trod across the wastelands. As you now search for the Garden of Eden Creation Kit to save your primitive village, tough choices and even tougher consequences await you. Your path is strewn with crippling radiation, megalomaniac mutants and a relentless stream of lies, deceit and treachery. Its a dark and dangerous world out there and you begin to wonder if anyone really stands to gain anything from this brave new world. I love this game and im sure to buy fallout tactics when i get some cash, learn to shoot fight sack and slap and sex in this fun and violent game.

StarFleet Command Volume II Empires at War publish by Interplay, Embark on a career as a Starship officer and take the helm in the utlimate realtime tactical space combat experience. Each of the 8 empires has different mission gaols and tendences. Earn titles, honours, medals, awards, rank and presitige points as you experience the life of a career starship officer. Choose from 8 different races with 2 new race since the last game while all new and update ships and even better interface. This game is good and enjoyable apart from the millions of patches you can give it.

Wing and ASF news

1. Site Moved, well nevermind :) Please see the announcement on http://www.ehnet.org if you have a website or email account on the emperorshammer.ca server.

As a result of emperorshammer.ca being down for ever now, I've moved this site to here... my home server.
Should in principle be no problem, but it's a european server so it might be slower for ppl outside europe. Also I nneed to update various links etc, so this is still buggy.
Sorry about the banner too, but else the URL would be pretty long. More news as it comes in....

2. Ok Ok i nicked it from Ender site. LT Staneth COM's Protector of May
submitted by: VA Ender mBind

Congratulations LT Staneth on becoming this month's COM's Protector. Besides the Palpatine's Crescent you are also entitled to using COM's Protector in your IDLine. 41 LoCs, 4 DFC and loads of Battles in just the last month alone make LT Argon Staneth very well Qualified - great work, you're bound to get far:)
3. But no one cares Site getting updated again
submitted by: VA Ender mBind

The site is undergoing changes again, first just the plain updating that needs to be done always, but also some new features and changes.
The most obvious is the opoening of the new WC's Office, and all updates concerning that. The Staff Page has been updated too, with the new CMDRs added and some extra info which wasn't there before, like an ICQ on/offline icon for all staff with ICQ - taking the place of the ON/OFF line page of the whole wing, which was basicly too much trouble to keep up to date. Other stuff here includes the links to larger versions of the pictures and tc database profiles. Added later will be the ASF stafpage - but I still need one or two pictures for that, like for the CMDRs actually: Strahd, Kast and The Z, please send me a photo of yourselves:)
Added to the WC's and COM's Offices are the updated WC's Own and COM's Protector listings, which go back to August 2000.
4. Wing Commanders own, Told you who it was early werent you reading well its Echo.

Fleet News

1. EH VS LSF Results, The awards for the EH vs. LSF war have been processed. The results are as follows:
XvT:
EH 12 | LSF 17 (LSF wins)
XWA:
EH 15 | LSF 5 (EH wins)
Overall:
EH 27 | LSF 22 (EH wins)
The turnout was rather disappointing on both sides, but it was a fun battle. Congrats to all those that helped us win this time!
2. Mulitiplayer competition hosts, Active and reliable hosts are needed for the ASF Competition (Wednesdays at 7 pm EST) and the EuroLoC competition (Saturdays at 10 am EST). If you would like to take over the hosting job, please send an application for which one you'd like to take over to myself at wetwilly@jedi.nu. Also,I have not been recieving the results for Zone Sunday, Greenwich Wolf Comp, and Kampfergemetzel. I need the hosts of those competitions to contact me within the next week, or else the comps will be shut down. I would also like to remind people that if you would like to set up your weekly competition similar to the EuroLoC, TNT, and other competitions that you only need to email with your proposal and I will look it over.
3. TieCorps.org slows down, It's been a busy week for me IRL that I haven't been able to do much EH related except keep an IRC window in the background while I work. Many have noticed that tiecorps.org has been running much slower than usual. I've tracked down this problem to two choke points: message boards and large personnel profiles. I'll be recoding those sections of tiecorps.org to fix the slow-downs because they're affecting everything else on this site. Also, the profile mergers WILL happen today. I apologize for the unusally large delay.
4. EmperorsHammer.ca shutting down, Please see the announcement on http://www.ehnet.org if you have a website or email account on the emperorshammer.ca server.
