ISD CHALLENGE / WING X NEWS

== Wing Commander's Own ==
This award hasn't been given out in a while with all the changes in command
and people being on leave the past few months. However this month I am going
to award it to a squadron who have been improving in leaps and bounds since
I returned as Wing Commander. They've been improving in activity, gaining
100% participation in nearly all competitions (which they have been having
on a very regular basis) and also been increasing in numbers. CPT Locke and
Tempest squadron - you are hereby awarded the honour of being Wing
Commander's Own for May 2001! Congrats :)

== Upcoming competition ==
Starting in 1 week time (pending approval) I will be beginning a new flying
competition. It will be a league style competition lasting 5 weeks, and an
IS-SW and IS-BW on offer for high scorers! Winning squadrons will get those
all-important bragging rights :) More to come on this soon!

== Sov SL ==
Its a miracle! We have news on the Sov SL! It seems to have been decided
that the finals weren't in fact the finals, and a round that is absolutely
identical to the last one with the exception of the battle is now being
fought out. Deadline is infact today so lets see if Tornado can come out on
top against Sigma this time... but maybe they'll get a few more 'finals' to
fly in soon anyway :P

== Trivia ==
Congratulations to CPT Airyu on winning the trivia for last month.. he
receives an IS-SR for his efforts. Beef continues to run the trivia, and
another medal is up for grabs this month!

== Webhunt ==
This competition is continuing, and is certainly hotting up at the front,
with only 6 points seperating the top 4 competitors! Keep an eye on
http://crowd.to/Webhunt for the latest details!

== Bob vs. Fred Wars ==
This Fleet Medical Corps run competition hosted by CPT Airyu has ended, with
a dissapointing 1 entry... congrats and thanks for your efforts, CPT Locke
:)

== Monthly Awards ==
I'll be processing all Monthly Squadron Evaluations and giving awards for
activity this week, so if you see the odd surprise medal come through soon
you know why :)


WING X SQUADRON NEWS

== Tornado Squadron ==
Congratulations to COL Mairin on celebrating her 21st birthday on Saturday!
A fun affair it was too... and expensive... :P Tornado have been
concentrating on their second final for the Squadron League 2000 (yep it did
start more than a year ago :P) Good luck in their never-ending fight against
Sigma!

== Inferno Squadron ==
A quiet week for Inferno squadron as Calvin settles back in after returning
from leave. A competition is planned shortly, and they're waiting for the
announced Wing X competition to try and prove they are a force to be
reckoned with...

== Cyclone Squadron ==
They've had a slight member boost this week with 2 new members. LCM Sint
Seelasi returns from nowhere to rejoin, and new member SL Dark Avatar joins
the squadron from the training platform!

== Tempest Squadron ==
Congratulations go to Sephiroth on being promoted to the rank of full
Commander this week after excellent service as Flight Leader within Tempest
squadron! Results of a competition against Nu squadron are awaited...
Tempest gained 100% participation again, but Nu's cmdr seems to have gone
quiet. New members here too as CM Kaneda Pellail returns from the reserves,
and SL Macintosh (now LT Macintosh) joins the TC in Tempest squadron!

== Thunder Squadron ==
Exams are coming to an end in Thunder squadron so we should see more from
them soon. Maybe we'll see a powerful squadron in the Wing X competition
starting next week? They are also working on a new website for the
squadron - LT Tigurius has volunteered to work on this! They are also
challenging Kaph squadron in competition which ends on June 20th! Good luck
Thunder - show them how good Wing X really is :)

== Typhoon Squadron ==
An upcoming competition with Cyclone squadron is what they are going to be
up to for the next week or so.. may the best squadron win! They are also
working on updating the squadron website with CM Serovich trying to get some
submissions to display! Also congrats to CPT Airyu on winning the trivia
last month!
