Foreword

Sorry about the somewhat-lateness of this report, I had intended to send it out on Tuesday, but both tiecorps.org and my own computer were out to stop me.

Wing News
-------------------------------------
- First and foremost, are, of course, the addition of two new Flag Officers aboard the ISD Intrepid. Those are myself and Rear Admiral Pel :)

- The ISD Intrepid needs a new nickname. All submissions are to be sent to RA Pel (Palinathas@aol.com) and myself. (EH_Raith@yahoo.com) The winner will receive a Palpatine Crescent!

- RA Pel would like a new ISD Intrepid graphic to display on our message board. He will award a Palpatine Crescent for the best entry, and an Imperial Security Medal if he gets enough entries to have a second best. Each pilot may enter an unlimited number of times, but can only win once. Entries will be accepted up until February 5th.

- A Ship-Wide competition has been announced. It will be judged on an individual basis, all pilots are to fly XvT Free mission 2. The contest is to start on Jan 22, and run for two weeks. All pilots will submit their pilot files to their CMDR who will compile them to be sent to myself, and also fill out their BSF. All CMDRs will send their pilots in to WC Raith to be BSF'd.. as per normal procedure. Winner will receive a PC, and 2nd place an ISM.

TIE Corps News

- Vanity URLs, like news.tiecorps.org or admin.tiecorps.org, will no longer be available. They're gone for good. They're not coming back. For a full list of affected sites, please visit www.tiecorps.org.

- The administration bug that gave an error message when you tried to log into the database has been fixed.

- On your tiecorps.org profiles, you can now set "Contact Information" on your profile to provide additional contact info (like IRC nicknames) and let other people know when you're usually available online. The personnel profiles will display this information publicly this weekend.

- Troy Dangerfield released AlliED v1.25 for registered users to include more new wireframes. More details can be found at the AlliED homepage at http://homepages.picknowl.com.au/troyd/.

- tiecorps.org moves to a new server! Welcome to our new home at CrystalTech! Some things still need to be tested on this new server, but the move seems to have gone smoothly so far. The name transfer with Internic has already been submitted, so in a few days, you should be able to access this site using the "www.tiecorps.org" URL.

Emperor's Hammer News

- For the convenience of everyone (for Windows and Mac users and because NL 60 is almost 10 MB) Admiral Tron has uploaded both NL 60 and NL 61 to his server. Therefore, if you don't wish to do the big download, you don't have to... just go to either: http://www.techline.com/~hceline/NL60/ or http://www.techline.com/~hceline/NL61/ and enjoy!

- With FA Bull recently gone AWOL, the Fleet Commander and the Executive Officer have agreed upon the appointment of AD Howlader as the EH Operations Officer. Having capably handled his duties as CA:OPS including updating/maintaining the Operations Manual, his appointment was deemed the most logical.

- For his outstanding years of service and dedication in hosting various EH WWW Sites (i.e. www.impstar.net) as well as his most recent duties as Combat Operations Officer, the Fleet Commander, has promoted AD Darkov to the rank of Fleet Admiral and awarded him the Grand Order of the Empire.

- The XWA version of Mission 3 for the TO Comp 5 has been released. It's available at the Comp 5 site (www.impstar.net/to/comp5)

- CA:COMM/AD Kumba has redesigned the DB Message Board, and it is currently in the beta test phase. It can be found at http://24.4.85.79/sa/msg.php3 Test it out, and report any bugs to Kumba (Kumba12345@aol.com). Once the DB board is complete, Kumba plans to move onto redesigning the main EH message boards.

- COMM/FA Zoomba is seeking someone to do a COMM Website. If you are interested, please email FA Zoomba at mxc13@scasd.k12.pa.us with your ID line, and some examples of your work.

- The COMM Office is looking for suggestions for new projects for it to take on. Email any suggestions to mxc13@scasd.k12.pa.us

- For those of you interested in becoming Sector rangers all you have to do to apply is email both FA Rapier (EHTopCop@Yahoo.com) and VA Nightflyer (nightflyer@home.com) and let them know and they'll get back in touch with you.

- The Scimitar Mark-III Assault Bomber now includes a TIE Disk version alongside the previous CD and 95 patches thanks to the work of Captain Kermee (Kermee@softhome.net), the recently-appointed SCOA1. The new patch set has been posted in the 'Patches' section of the Science Office.

Transfers/Promotions

- CPT Hunter joins us as the new Asp CMDR. Welcome aboard Hunter!

- CMDR/CM Lusankya of has been promoted to the rank of Captain. Congratulations!

- LT Bobman of Copperhead has been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Commander! Congrats!

- Welcome to SLs Kurn and Kyle. They've been stationed aboard Cobra Squadron.

Orders/Comments

- I'd like to start some sort of 'recruiting campaign' to raise the number of pilots on the Intrepid. I'll be recruiting like mad, e-mailing prospective Bravo Company Cadets and talking to real life friends that might join. I also ask the rest of the wing to help in this... It is feasible that we might award people for bringing a certain number of pilots aboard the Intrepid, (In addition to the MoI that you would get) so start recruiting and talking to Cadets! Lets see if we can get this ship full enough to open Diamondback squadron!

1. Submit your Imperial Navy Pilot Record (INPR)
2. Participate in any official TIE Corps competition or contest

4. Submit EH/TC fiction or graphics
5. Assist the CMDR with homepage or other activities
