WING IV NEWS:
1) Wing IV had a very busy week, with about ~45~ battle submissions, along
with about 20+ free mission subs! Good work, especially to Teth Squadron who
had about 3/4 of the BSFs; they now have 32 citations!
2) In the Competition of 5's, the TIE/XWA Competition Wing IV is in against
Wings X and XI, the XWA round has just been completed. Wing IV had only one
entry, CPT Jonathan's (who finished 5th of of 11 entries). Wing IV only had
4 entries (out of a possible 10) in the competition, so obviously, we
finished last :( Here is the final score:
ISD Immportal - 867.4
ISD Challenge - 616.2
Wing IV - 273.6
3) Squadron League Round 9 was announced earlier this week.. Remember it is
FREE-TIE 106 (ATTACHED), The Courtship of Callista, and it must be flown by
May 30th and sent to me with your CMDR CC:ed!
4) The Wing IV Tag Team competition ends Tuesday, May 23rd (my last day of
school)! I need your FREE-TIE 112 (ATTACHED) .tfrs by then! I have very few
submissions so far.
5) As you know, CPT Demon Yoda, CMDR of Cheth Squadron has gone on leave
until July.. The A-CMDR of Cheth will be CPT Jonathan
Cheth members, please get in contact with Jonathan ASAP.
6) CPT Jonathan (Lamed, A-CMDR Cheth) has challenged Lamed's members to
complete all 121 FREE-TIE missions. So far, CPT David and CPT Jonathan have
taken the challenge, and are up to FREE-TIE 10. This has prompted an idea
for a competition.. Perhaps the Wing IV Summer FREE-TIE Challenge. Say I
give Wing IV members from May 20th to September 15th to complete all of the
FREE-TIE missions. Then they will be awarded if they complete all the
missions? Give me feedback.

4) There are currently four polls at the polling center right now : EH Poll
#71, EH Poll #72, EH Poll #73, and EH Poll #74. Also, the semifinals of the
Mr/Miss EH Competition will end May 21st. The EH Polling Center can be found

5) News from the frontlines has been very sparse in the two game-days since
the slaughter in the Heir system. The limited information available
indicates that both sides are licking their wounds. Red Team, despite their
tactical losses, still maintain a strategic lead with the continued
occupation of the Blue homeworlds, and are building up a points advantage
that may very well hand them the victory in the few days remaining of the
Exercise.
6) A new feature has been added for all TIE Corps personnel who use the
Medal Recommendation and Battle Submission Forms! Now when you log in, you
can view what medals and BSFs are still pending review by the Operations
Office and Tactical Office respectively. You can also view what audits are
currently outstanding just in case you didn't receive the BSF Audit
Notification E-mail.
A bonus feature is that if you make a mistake in filling out a BSF or Medal
Recommendation like putting in the wrong PIN # or recommending the wrong
medal, you can now remove the request yourself.
7) Replaying Missions - If you want to achieve a higher score, you must
replay the free mission or the entire battle on a fresh new pilot file. You
cannot simply play only one mission of a battle and turn it in for a high
score. Combat Chamber scores and High Score (.HGH) files will not be
accepted or acknowledged.
8) The Imperial Security Medal will be given to the first person to locate
the Asteroid Base Patch which allows TIE Disk owners to be able to play
battles that use the Asteroid Base, Asteroid Laser Battery, and the Asteroid
Warhead Launcher and mail it to High Admiral Kawolski.
9) Internet Officer, Vice Admiral Turtle to the rank of Admiral.
10) Announcing the launch of the new Emperor's Hammer WebRing. The new Ring
is a reincarnation of the old Emperor's Hammer WebRing hosted on
www.webring.org.
The new system has been coded directly by the Internet Office and allows the
ring to be navigated even if a webmaster does not display the ring code on
their homepage. Additional features include: dead sites can be reported by a
user with one click, new sites are added to the ring immediately, and ring
sites are categorized.
