Congrats guysand especially to CPT Philo who wins a IS-SW for his efforts, as I said the Drinks are on me for the next month, now off to think of Jahan Kalar's new fighter and its name MUWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!

2) A Zayin Squadron Commander has been chosen. Congrats to CPT Xander Drax, a long time Zayin member. It was a tough choice there were many brilliant applicants, but I believe Drax to be the best chap for the job, don't let me down Captain, oh and the drinks are on you :)

3) A Squadron Comp between Yod and Kaph is due to start soon(GOOOO KAPH!!!!!!). Details to follow later

4) Yod Commander CPT Philo will be on leave from the 29th May till the 3rd June 2002. I take it there will be a A-CMDR, so Yod prepare to hear that soon (eh Philo /nudge :P)

5) We are still low on numbers so this may help us bolster our forces

SSSD Sovereign Recruiting Competition
This is a competition to increase the membership of the SSSD Sovereign. There are three categories:

-- Recruitment Web page. Create a personal, flight, squadron or wing recruitment page(s). Teams of pilots may collaborate or this may be done individually. Iron Stars will be awarded to up to the top three entrants. Deadline: midnight May 31. Send zipped entries or URLs to VA Proton at hullbreach@aol.com

-- Recruitment campaign. Create an outline of the perfect recruiting campaign. Demonstrate in writing how your individual, flight, squadron or wing will conduct its campaign to fill and maintain its ranks. Iron Stars will be awarded to up to the top three entrants. Deadline: midnight May 31. Send entries (text files) to VA Proton at hullbreach@aol.com

-- Total number of recruits. The top three individual recruiters (as reflected in actual pilots recruited and placed on the ship (MoIs) will be awarded Iron Stars. The top recruiting squadron and wing each will be designated "Commodore's Own" for one month and carry commensurate benefits in the ship's cantina.

Deadline: midnight June 30.

Also I would advise mailing any old Wing IV'ers that are currently in the reserves, from what I understand CPT Morth (Yod) may already be starting something along these lines. If you want any help Morth just let me know ;)

So get out there and lets see if we can get some new blood into the Wing, if you would like an example mail to send Cadets let me know and I can forward you one ;)

Ship/Fleet News

1) Imperial Storm III, another battle coming up against the danged Battlegroups. The fight will be in #project_faithful at noon eastern time, Saturday, May 25. XWA and TIE pilots who would like to participate and help the Sov to victory, please show up. In this skirmish, our home guard FRG Aurora and Mem, Pe and Resh squadrons will be defending against an attack by the ISD Colossus and at least some of its fighter complement.

We have won the last 2 battles against them, lets make it 3 times a charm :))

2) Congratulations to VA Toran Dan on being selected as Pri;s new bitc... errr I mean Command Attache :P

3) A Ship wide AWOL is happening, please contact in to your commander, and CMDRS reportin to me. My report will be going to COM/VA Proton on the 31st May 2002

4) Golden Tug Awards 2002 !
08:27 - FA Striker [striker@tiecorps.org]
Tadaaaa ! The Tactical Office presents you the Golden Tug Awards ! These new awards will be given for the best battles released over a particular year. The first edition of the Golden Tug Awards will reward the best creations of year 2001, and every pilot will be able to vote through the TC polling system. First, I need nominees for each category, check the full details of this competition at http://www.emperorshammer.net/tac/gta.html.

5) Wing IX WC Appointed
05:31 - FA Priyum Patel [spellfire@btinternet.com]
Congratulations to the newest Flag Officer of the Fleet, Colonel Miack, who has been selected as the new Wing Commander of Wing IX.

6) COO Updates
12:42 - VA Khadgar [khadgar1@shaw.ca]
Due to real life commitments, I will be unavailable for this coming Friday and Saturday. Any outstanding concerns will be addressed then. Also, I would like to quote a new policy from COO Report #10:
"A number of people have expressed concerns about COO sponsored Multiplayer Competitions. The concerns rest in hosts sometimes showing up late due to prior commitments, or some not showing at all. Henceforth, all Multiplayer participants are encouraged to fly matches regardless of the situation. Any and all matches that are flown within the designates times will be counted, even if it is necessary to report extra matches directly to the Combat Operations Officer."

Hopefully this will clear up any concerns in relation to COO related competitions.
