Wing News

-Zzzz. Work was long! I worked forever today it seemed like. Well, I guess it wasn't forever but it did feel long. I helped a friend sell some collectable merchandise. Some people will buy the weirdest things. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder, right?
Anyways, I'm glad to be back home and to the wing.
-Commendation of Loyalty: I chose three for the commendation of loyalty. They should be processed after the due date, which is the 18th or 19th. Sit tight, everyone.
-Processing medals and promotions: Some have already been processed, as you'll see below, some need the FO's approval still and so forth. I'd tell everyone my recommendations but that's not smart policy.
-SSL Heh, I bet a lot of you thought this competition would never end. Well it's on to the finals now. Kappa and Psi were not able to make it to the finals but they put up an excellent show for the entire fleet. They are right now flying for third place, so it's still not over for them. In the TIE Division, Kappa was defeated by Praetorian Squadron, but Kappa will now go up against Yod Squadron (which suprisingly, no one flew last week), who was defeated by Omega Squadron.
In the XvT Division Psi lost to ASF Squadron. Psi will now duke it out for third place against Odin Squadron, who lost to Diamondback Squadron.
I think both Kappa and Psi have very good chances to make it for third. So I as well as the rest of the wing, wish you pilots all the luck!
-The General's Sovereign Summer Patrol: It's currently in its eigth week and pilots are still dedicated to flying for this summer patrol. A few pilots are still dropping off the patrol and unable to meet the demands. There is currently a poll at the Sov forum under the 8th week thread. -Personnel: We saw two promotions this week. Congratz to Ghost and Josi who are both promoted to the rank of LCM. Good work you two. Have seen outstanding activity these past two months.
Side note: CM Duncan has decided to leave Sigma Squadron. I got his letter a day ago. Sorry to see him go. Some have felt that Sigma was not once what it was. I'm depending on what remains of Sigma, with the leadership of CPT Psyko, to stay strong. There are small squads about in the fleet that stay strong. We all support you.

Misc: -I have started up another private wargame for the Memory of Thrawn Strategic War Campaign. This is the third installment of the wargame which started back nearly a year ago. This time the players are MAJ Seth (aka Warlord Cregan), CPT Ninj (aka Grossadmiral Ninj von Manteuffel), and CPT Psyko (aka Psyko?). Overview
The Operations Officer is responsible for the timely awarding of medals within the TIE Corps, providing consultive feedback on high level medals and maintaining the Operations Manual and related materials.
Selection Criteria - Essential
1. Good written communication skills.
2. An acceptable level of presence on online media such as IRC, message boards, etc.
3. Fast email response time.
4. The ability to work with a wide range of EH personnel in a diplomatic fashion.
Selection Criteria - Desirable
1. Graphics and/or HTML ability.
2. Prior experience in a similar position.
You must address each criteria with supporting evidence. Simply saying "Yes, I can do that" will not be enough. Include specific examples of your experience. You should meet at least the essential criteria to be considered for the position. You will be expected to perform the core duties of the position to an acceptable level. You must include at least three (3) references. At least one of these must be a former or current superior, preferably current. Ensure you have their permission first, as your application will be seen in a negative light if you have not gained their permission. Applications should be sent to the Fleet Commander and Executive Officer with the subject "Application for Operations Officer".
