And yet again the turbines of Imperial might turn as another week rolls by. So what's in store for us this week? Well for one thing the Mandatory Orders will soon be issued; hopefully sometime this week. The break has been long and we are now gearing up for one ship order and a wing order coming up.
Imperial Storm IV: BGs Revenge: Ladies and gentlemen, the Sovereign is going up against all the battle groups in this next wargame of Imperial Storm. I ask that all of you participate in this competition to defend the pride and honour of this mighty starship. SOVCOM/AD Proton has been kind enough to keep all of us informed. FYI, this page will be expanded later this week. But IS IV starts at the
end of the week, so I wanted to give ample time for distributing the
basics.
We're hoping that this wargame kicks off on Friday after Proton returns from sickbay leave. You will all be informed as things come about so stay tuned.
Wing II Mission Voting Competition (news from last week): Boys and girls, I have a new competition in the works and hopefully it will kick off at least by next monday, but that's just me hoping. I will be running a competition very similar to the Inkwolf Raid competition which we flew about a year and a half ago http://www.inkwolfraid.50megs.com
But this, boys and girls, will be very different. Instead of me deciding what the mission will consist of, the entire wing will get to decide what the best course of action will be for a particular mission. I will give the wing a setup situation based on a plotline supplied by MAJ Seth, who is helping me with this competition. From there, everyone, and I mean everyone, can send me an email on what the best course of action is for the wing to take to overcome a mission. I will then take the best three suggestions and put them on a forum in which everyone will get to vote for the best course of action. From there, I will take that most voted suggestion and turn it into an actual mission which we will all get to fly for our competition. There will be about 4 to 6 missions, depending on how the plotline goes.
I hope everyone will enjoy this because this gives everyone the oppurtunity to help with mission ideas as well as actually flying them.

New FO in place: The new FO of the fleet is FA Cyric. He was a command attache back when Pri was in command of the TieCorps. Glad to see Cyric in the chair. Already he's done a lot of requests by me and the CMDRs of the wing. Thanks a lot Cyric.
Rho vs Sin!: Yup, this competition is finally underway. Good to see a little activity going about within the wing. LC Seth vowed to take out all squadrons within the wing one by one since Rho had the highest activity rating during the Wing Readiness Alert. Will they beat their first opponent or will Sin stomp them down?

Mission Compendium going offline

Final preparations to release Project Shield require taking mission compendium offline and updating all links. Soon you will start seeing .ehm files instead of .zips. According to some mob of people who are really *really* smart, the letters in a word don't have to be in their correct order for you to read it, the only thing that does need to be in right place are the first and last letters of the word.
For some reason our eyes (brains?) see words, not individual letters or some such thing.
Try rdeinag tihs lnie and you wlil see waht I maen, it is a bit ticrky rgiht at the sartt, but atefr a wilhe you get the hnag of it. :p
