Ship News
-Major Pickled Yoda resigns as Odin CMDR, the new CMDR is CM Apophis Kuma.
-Odin defeated Tartarus in a one sided comp, most disappointing, congrats nontheless to Odin Squadron.
-VA Sarin returns from Air Assault School with a new patch, congrats!
-MAJ Choosh wins the second round of Grey Wolf Top Gun, CPT Con Selar picks up second
-The Wolves Vs. Phantoms Comp has kicked off, I've got a handful of entries for the XvT Division, two for the TIE and none for the XWA. See Competitions for details.
-The Wolfpack Recruitment Comp concluded on the 18th, I meant to have the results out sooner, but there were somethings I needed to take up with Sarin, so without further delay, there was a three way Tie so Congrats to MAJ Choosh, CM Keiran Laserlight and LT Valin Drago all of whom will receive an IS-SR, no runner up this time around, sorry. I'll launch another Recruitment Comp at the beginning of the month.

-Aggressor Squadron defeated Odin Squadron in a 1 on 1 Comp, Sarin and I were pulling for you guys, makes a good excuse for why I didn't participate :P

Description: The Goal is to create a Mascot for ASF. The Winning Submission will become the ASF Official Submission. Submissions must include a name and description but can also incluse a Graphic/Picture and a fiction.

"How long will Gilad last?" Comp
Deadline: February 4th, 2004

Description: As our last 4 Wing Commanders have lasted less than the 4 month minimum, we are going to guess on how long our new WC MAJ Gilad will last in the position. Guesses will be sent to MAJ Choosh (mchenry@jefnet.com), who will award a IS-BR to the closest guess. If Gilad is still WC past 2/04/04 (end date) He will get the medal.

ASF Racing Tournament Competition:
Deadline: September 29th, 2003

Description: A racing tournament where each squadron is a racing team, we'll use #ehcoc for the !dns command, then e-mail DS (Darksaber@ehnet.org) the results. The tournament would be point based, As Thus: No. of Points per Place Racers First Second Third 2 to 4 1 0 0 5 to 6 2 1 0 7 to 8 3 2 1 The pont total will decide the winning team which would get a trophy to display on their squadron website. Naturally, one of the racers would have to email DS (Darksaber@ehnet.org) the results of the race, listing the pilots, and what they placed so squadron, and individual scores can be tabulated. GW Top Gun Pilot Competition
Deadline: 11/7/2003
Description: Pilots are to fly a mission each week as selected by the comp coordinators. Competition is to run for an approximate total of 8 weeks. Medals are to be issued after each round to the winners and runners up. During each week, pilots who participate will gain points towards the end of the comp. At the end of the competition a final tally of all points will be assessed and the overall winners (1st and 2nd places) will be issued their respected medals. A rules section and awards web page will be posted by the comp coordinator at the Odin squadron website. (comp was previously drafted by me and reviewed by the Ships COM and BGCOM and given the okay)

Wing Commander's Forum
Wohoo! Almost two months now as WC, I've reached the half-way point of my tour and I'm not done yet. I've got some decent participation for the Comp Vs. Wing III, although I would like to see more. Someone fly some XWA, we don't just want to give some Wing III pilot an IS-SW. I'm going to try and work out a competition vs. Wing II set for about mid-October, more details on that as they become available. As I stated above, Imperial Storm begins starts today, I want to see a good turn out for the comp, it's one of the major competitions of the year and I would like to see the ASF come out on top, even better if some Grey Wolf pilots helped to achieve this. A few reminders to CMDRs, WSRs are to be CCed to the FO and CA:FO (Seeing as there currently isn't a CA:FO, Cyric (Whose email address is jroscoe@comcast.net) wants them sent to FOA COL Reaper (Paul.reeves99@ntlworld.com) instead) also, Cyric wants all FL appointments sent through and approved by the WC or COM, so if you want someone to be moved to a FL position in your squadron, send the request to Sarin or I and we will pass it on to Cyric. We need a pilot in Odin Squdron, so double your efforts and get a pilot in Odin. Until next time...
