Wing News

Well it happened! With 17% of the votes in Arnold is going to be the new governor of California. Historic moment in the state I live in. May be good or bad for our future depending on who you are but it is indeed history.
I know almost all of you don't care about the recall election but it was a very exciting event here.
On to the wing report!! (the real important stuff)
CMDR/LC Zekkie Retires: I hated typing that in. We lost a good guy here. A very loyal and trustful CMDR. Zekkie was an excellent guy. He was always available to talk to and he was nice enough to invite me to his place. Zekkie is still around of course and we'll see him but I'll miss him as a CMDR and his work and duty towards Wing II. Thanks Zekkie, for all your help.
Imperial Storm IV: BGs Revenge: The CRV Kessler ran into a huge enemy fleet but was immediately destroyed. Although it was an unfortunate thing to see one of our ships lose it did help us with intelligence. And when you come down to it, it's better that we lost that than the Sovereign. Rho vs Sin!: The competition ended today! I have a few scattered results from processed BSFs. I will try and gather what I have and see where things stand.
Wing II Talk Radio, An Imperial Voice: Really sorry for those who waited for a broadcast this sunday. I was at an art gallery showing with my mom. I will do one this weekend for sure.
-=Sin and Sigma in danger of being Shutdown!=-: CMDRs and pilots of these squadrons must do all that you can to recruit ONE more pilot. You need 5 pilots in your squadron within two months. Please recruit and CMDRs, please contact cadets on the training platform. I've had a couple pilots outside these squadrons wanting to join these squadrons to save them; but Cyric will not allow it.
Emperor's Hammer Battle Launcher: If you don't know what this is you're in lagging times. It's a new way to launch missions/battles which IS mandatory if you want to fly. No more zip files or any of that. Just log into the database and you'll see what I mean. Have fun! I know my sister liked it a lot.

-Kappa: 3 Pilots engaged in the Sovereign Cup 2003. Setting up a match against Talon Squadron. Not sure of all details yet.
-Personal note here: I will send a promotion request directly to FO Cyric. I don't know WHAT has happened but this is the longest that this has been approved by higher ups but not processed. I apologize to all Kappans for this one incident.
-Psi: Kronar puts up the new Psi Squadron site at http://psi.minos.net. (No report this week)
-Rho: Challenging the small but strong Sin Squadron. They want their first blood in a possible campaign to defeat all Wing II Squadrons. Will Sin Squadron allow it?! Flying TIEFREE-120 for the match.
-Sigma: Focussing on recruiting efforts to save Sigma. (No report as of yet.)
- Sin: Defending the challenge set out by Rho Squadron. Will Sin be defeated and let Rho walk on them in Rho's attempt to a campaign to dominate the wing? Or will Sin silence them and defeat them in their first battle? Flying TIEFREE-120 for the match.
- Theta: LC Mickk placed as the new flight leader of Flight 3 and is the A-CMDR as LC Zekkie retires to the reserves. Best of luck Zekkie. The CMDR position has yet to be picked. I am working something out at the moment.

TIE95 Fix For EHBL Users Running Windows 2000/XP

Because, without a fix, TIE95 don't run on XP ans 2K anyway it also doesn't when you install EHBL (even if you have already "fixed it").

Mission Creation Wars - Results

After many months, we have finaly came to the finals, where Frodo faced dynamic duo of Carl Lost and Viper. After testing the battles myself, and asking my CA, to do so, we have decided that, the winner and best battle designer of the Emperor's Hammer Mission Creation Wars is Rear Admiral Frodo, who is being awarded with the Gold Star of the Empire. Congratulations
Carl Lost and Viper, will both receive Silver Stars. Congrats guys.
Next MCW will start in 2004.

Tactical Directive #2 - EHBL

Starting November 1st, 2003, every Emperor's Hammer pilot is ordered to use Emperor's Hammer Battle Launcher. Any High Scores achieved without EHBL will be rejected. Until November you have time to report any bugs and EHBL problems to SCO and TAC, so we will fix them quickly.
Emperor's Hammer Battle Launcher Released!

After years of being in the planning and now about 10 months of work the Tactical Office and Science Office are very proud to announce the release of the "Emperor's Hammer Battle Launcher" - probably the most elaborate piece of software to ever come out of the Emperor's Hammer and one that will most definitely change your flying experience completely.
The Launcher installs battles for you with a single click, launches the games and adds the basic patches used in our missions, like the "Fly All" patch for TIE Fighter. It also prevents cheating by editing mission files, which has been a problem for the Tactical Office since the beginning of this club.
This is now available for download once you log in to the Administration Area of the database.
Usage is easy: After you have installed EHBL, Download battle.ehm, click it to install the battle and press the button of whatever game you want to play.
If you have any, report bugs on the EHBL thread on the EH messageboard or to TAC or SCO. We're also available for regular help of course.
