Wing News

The Wing Readiness ends today, boys and girls. I asked for a simple order and hopefully I'll get results from all ends of the wing. You can still do them today if you have the chance. Just report your activity to your CMDR. I will ask that all CMDRs forward the activity to me sometime tomorrow.
I sent a "Doing what's Right" email to the wing about appropriate behavior. Hope everyone had a chance to look it over at least once. Remember, it applies to everyone, I'm not picking on a certain group of people... well maybe I am =P lol j/k. Don't take it so personally if you feel it does, just be glad I didn't confront you about it 0_o
Psi CMDR steps down; taking applications: Thanks for all your hard work as CMDR, Jon. I really enjoyed you there and I will miss you in that spot. I'm still accepting applications for the CMDR position. I think I'll extend the opening a few more days.
Commendation of Loyalty Awards: Those awarded the CoL for their hard work and dedication are CM Viper, LCM Dweezil and LCM Sheerelk. Good work to all three of you.
Getting back to work and processing medals and promotions: With finals over I am definately in a position to track down lost medal or promotion recommendations. I'm sure a few of you CMDRs are quite frustrated but I assure you things will be straightened out and I will go over any pilots personally that I may have missed for promotions or medals (including CMDRs) Also, I'll be implimenting a few little changes here and there. Nothing entirely major but you will start to see them if you are a CMDR; you might see them if you're a FL or FM.

Wing Orders

Mandatory Wing Orders:
-=Readiness Alert for the entire wing=-
Ends Today (Sept 7th)
All pilots are tasked to do some type of activity. It must be one of these three:
Any type of flying (free mission, battle, multiplayer match). If you do any single player flying you must fly a mission or battle you havn't flown before. I will be keeping watch of everyone =P
You do any IWATs course. It must be one you havn't taken. (Might be hard for Granite =P)
You come up with a fiction or graphic that can be subitted to your CMDR.
Everyone in the entire wing has until next sunday, September 7th, to complete the task. CMDRs, I expect you to get after your pilots to do this. I want to see if we are truley ready when a quick demand is required.

-Rho: Currently engaged in the the Readiness Orders like everyone else. Seth having hardware issues with the CD-Rom. Argh! it's contagious!
-Sigma: Mateusz back from leave. Granite takes a break from the desk and goes into the cockpit. Granite has finished 22 out of 24 IWATS exams!! That's simply awesome. We're cheering for you to get the last two, Granite. Good luck!
- Sin: Timmay has rejoined! Yaye. He's the SCO-A if you don't know, so yes he is a mad scientist; one in our very own wing =) Carl is rallying his boys to get through the Readiness Patrol.
- Theta: LC Mickk fills in as acting-CMDR while Zekkie takes a leave due to RL issues. Again, rallying the squadron for the Readiness Orders.

Sovereign League XWA Battle Creation Contest

The SSSD Sovereign Squadron League coordinators are pleased to announce a battle creation competition leading up to the SSL 2004. The Sovereign League XWA Battle Creation Contest runs through 12/31/2003, and is open to all XWA mission creators in the TC.
Entrants must create a four-mission XWA battle, absolutely without patches, for use in the SSSD Sovereign League 2004.
The competition has four monthly rounds; each month, a "best battle" will be selected by the Sovereign League judges. The winner of each round will receive an IS-GR; runner-up, IS-SR; and third place, IS-BR.
The SSL judges desire to use high-quality XWA battles for the SSL 2004. XWA creators will construct one or more four-mission battles (no less or more than four missions); absolutely no patches are to be used with the battles. Top battles will be judged by the SSL staff, then sent off to the TAC office. The TAC has agreed to accelerate testing and confirmation of the winning battles so they will be available in the compendium in time for the start of the SSL 2004 in January. Medals awarded for this contest will be separate from any TAC-awarded mission creation awards.
