Wing XIII Report #19 - 12.6.03


Ship News
-The Ship roster is holding steady at 61, DJ was removed from the roster and LCM Mitim Tsaexin joined Valkyrie.
-The Wolfpack Recruitment Comp ends tomorrow, if you were recruited to this ship between November 7th and December 7th email me your recruiter.
-All MSEs have been received, I'll be working on processing them over the next week or so.
-I have Finals next Saturday, so expect my report to be delayed, it will probably be out late Saturday night or sometime on Sunday.
-VA Sarin will be returning home to the States on the 15th

ASF News
-The INT and VAN lost to the SOV in the Beer Cup, they won in the XWA and XvT Divisions, but from what I gather, 10 TIE missions was what lost it for them.
-Supremacy Comp has been moved to February, Imagine that....

-The Emperor's Hammer won the XWA WoW, not sure if any of us participated, but still nonetheless this is a good thing.
-The SO is VA Ziggy, the new COO hasn't been announced yet.

Description: As some people know by now, my (Vladet Xavier's) last few reports have had some kind of 'easter egg': something that is hidden and can be found/unlocked (i.e. a hidden link to a certain picture, something extra added to an ID line, fake links, etc). The first pilot to discover and e-mail me the easter egg will receive an IS-BR for their efforts.

GW Top Gun Pilot Competition
Deadline: 11/7/2003 (Extended)
Description: Pilots are to fly a mission each week as selected by the comp coordinators. Competition is to run for an approximate total of 8 weeks. Medals are to be issued after each round to the winners and runners up. During each week, pilots who participate will gain points towards the end of the comp. At the end of the competition a final tally of all points will be assessed and the overall winners (1st and 2nd places) will be issued their respected medals. A rules section and awards web page will be posted by the comp coordinator at the Odin squadron website. (comp was previously drafted by me and reviewed by the Ships COM and BGCOM and given the okay)

Wing Commander's Forum
Four Months down, I'm enjoying myself and hope I'm doing a good job. Finals are coming up for me, starting next Saturday, I have two Saturday, three Monday and one Tuesday. I figure I'll be going home sometime on the 18th or 19th, the dorms close on the morning of the 20th I think. Anyway, I was very pleased to see activity out of all six squadrons this week, activity is also the highest it has ever been since I've taken command. The Supremacy Competition has been tentatively moved to February, though this is still up in the air. Don't burn yourself out flying, I want some activity, but not to the extreme. With Christmas and other holidays on the horizon I want to remind all of you that if you are going on leave during the holidays to inform for superior officers (CMDR, WC, COM). I think that about covers it for this week. BTW, the FO report says that TCCOM's Own is a two month honor, so I'm going to take it we're TCCOM's Own for November and December, Cyric corrrect me if I'm wrong. Keep up the good work and Long Live the Grey Wolf!
