SQUADRON COMMANDER'S CORNER
November has arrived, and for me that means one thing: National Solo Album Month! I won't bore you with the details, but NaSoAlMo is a songwriting/recording challenge in the same vein as National Novel Writing Month (which also falls in November, by the way).

Some of you may know that I record music as a hobby (*cough* shameless plug *cough*), and every November I set time aside to try to write and record 30+ minutes of new material. I don't always manage to crack the 30 minute mark, but every year I've scraped together at least one song that I'm proud of.

'That's fine and all, but what's it got to do with the TIE Corps?'

Good question. I share this with you because I'll likely have lower-than-usual participation levels this month. I'll still complete my CMDR duties, of course, but it's unlikely that I'll complete the 200+ SP missions that I've been able to log over the last few months.

  • LCM Rando wins the TF and XvT TCoP missions in week 44.

COMPETITIONS

I will summarize competitions that apply to Sin in this section, but you should always check the Competitions Center and Combat Center for full details on all competitions.

  • The Price of Sin - This is a weekly competition with a separate IS-BW awarded to the pilot earning the greatest number of LoC/LoS or highest number of SP missions flown. Minimum criteria for award is 2+ pilots participating across any of the 3 categories.

  • Warrior Trivia - Each week, Plif will send out a link pointing to five trivia questions for Wing II pilots to answer. The trivia questions will come from the canon Star Wars Universe and various Emperor's Hammer manuals, including the TIE Corps Pilot Manual. Whoever correctly answers all five questions the fastest wins an IS-BR.

  • TIE Corps on Patrol - Each Saturday, Woody will announce a free mission for TIE, XvT and XWA. Your mission: earn the highest score. For each platform, the weekly winner will receive an IS-SW, and second will receive an IS-BW. Participants also accumulate points for their participation.

  • TIE Corps on Recon - Submit a screenshot each week from one of Star Conflict's multiplayer game modes (Domination, Beacon Hunt, PvE, Team Battle, and Combat Recon). Iron Stars are awarded weekly and monthly based on unique criteria for each game mode.

  • TIE Corps vs AI - Submit a screenshot each week from Star Conflict's Player vs. AI modes. Iron Stars are awarded weekly and monthly based on unique criteria for each game mode.

CLOSING COMMENTS
Last week, I finished flying the TIE Fighter: Infiltrator Wing missions, and I've moved on to the Dark Brotherhood battles. So far, the missions have been a little strange. The last one I flew asked me to destroy containers of puppies, toddlers, and the elderly. Still beats flying a B-Wing, to be honest.
