Wing I Report # 0 (2005-06-01)

Wing One Report #12-13-14

Update: Okay, I've been cleared to type for half an hour a day from
today onwards, so you'll see me being a lot more active around here.
Normally, a rib injury wouldn't be this serious a problem, but
apparently the break in my 9th rib was floating dangerously close to
my right lung (I've been taking shallow breaths for the last two
weeks), so I've gotten it reset, which caused all the swelling
problems. It's still broken, but at least now it's in the right place.
:P

In regards to my machine, I've circumvented my videocard problems by
borrowing a videocard off of Rez, so I'm pretty much good to do
anything except fly and type for a long time.

So, with 29 minutes to go, here comes a Weekly Report!

TIE Corps News

- The TAC is looking for new assistants for TIE, XvT and XWA beta
testing. Since the complete sweep of the mission compendium for bugs
(a ridiculously impressive feat) the TAC office seems to be focusing
more on pre-testing these missions.

- The Sovereign holds Mon Calamari after heavy losses! Victorious in
the battle, we were otuflown in the Singleplayer component, allowing
the TCBG to replace some of it's losses. But we've got two planets,
and everyone else has one :P

After the first three turns, the scores are as follows;

Sovereign: 8
ASF: 4
ATF: 3
Sith: 3
TCBGs: 2

- The COMM is looking for an assistant - check the news page for more info.

- Return of the Proton! Our ex-SOVCOM has been appointed the new
CA:FO! Pass on your congratulations, and be sure to ask many annoying
questions, he loves those ;)

- The TAC has released a deluge of new missions for us including;

XWAFREE118
XWAFREE119
XvTFREE189
XvTFREE190
XvTFREE191
BoPFREE34

... No wonder he wants more beta testers!

Wing News

- LT "Cube" Rancourous has been named the 'Alpha Scholar' for the
month of May, completing a phenomenal *eleven* IWATS Courses in the
space of the last week. In my entire time in the Corps, I have never,
ever seen an acedemic performance like this. Great Job!

SP Ladder Week 4

This is what I have received and submitted;

TIEFREE 256

CM Firzam Coldsteel (Epsilon)
LT Arne Saknussem (Beta)
CM Kahooli (Alpha)
LT Hunter (Beta)

XvTFREE188

COL Gunman (Alpha)

XWAFREE117

None.

Thank you to everyone who submitted - if you did fly, but your name
isn't listed above, please send off your pilot file to the SovCOM
(tieknt@gmail.com) to ensure it is included.

With the Imperial Storm battle taken into consideration, the result
this week was pretty solid, so you can all feel proud of your
accomplishments for this month of the ladder. Very nice :)

Competitions

Brin's Spare Ribs!

We have a winner! I received two submissions for this comp, which was
heartening considering it's oddness - and despite an excellent effort
by LT Arne Saknussem, there could only be one winner.

Congratulations to CM Firzam Coldsteel! Your IS-SR is inbound!

It's often said that there's no prize for second place, but in this
case, there is!
LT Saknussem, your IS-BR will be arriving in your inbox shortly,
congratulations on your first Wing-awarded medal :)
