Wing XIV weekly report #34 - 06/20/2004
- WING NEWS -
Ok, now ALL missing medals have been awarded! I had re-recommended about 95 medals in a day (you gotta love mozilla's tabbed browsing...) and I haven't noticed that half of Cobra squadron and the whole Diamondback squadron still had pending awards. Well, all the old shinies should be in our showcase so after this report I'll recommend medals for April and May MSEs.

Another fresh graduate from Daedalus has joined the Intrepid and Cobra squadron, he's SL Jacob Neva. I'm glad to see that other Cobras gave a warm welcome to their new squadron mate. Welcome aboard Jacob!

CM Predator is officially back at the helm of Diamondback squadron, this also means that the Intrepid Flightschool is ready to start!  Do you want to learn multiplayer combat? You already know how to fly in a multiplayer melee but you would like to improve your skills? Fear do not because there's the Intrepid Flightschool with a very special instructor for you, CM Predator (626 LoCs, 10 DFCs). Everyone interested to join the school should e-mail me and CM Predator (yvesmd@bu.edu) specifying the days and time they can fly. Note that this is a "learn-by-doing" program so you don't get boring manuals to read, you fly with the instructor and he will teach you tips&tricks to become a good MP pilot. Do not miss the chance to learn from one of the best pilots in the Emperor's Hammer, join the Intrepid Flightschool today and once your training is complete, have fun winning LoCs on the Zone and in #ehcoc.

Then we have two Wing wide competitions. The first competition, Scramble Training #1,
starts today and it is meant to test the combat readiness of the Wing to a sudden threat, you have one week to fly XvT-Free #162 and send your pilot files to me (don't forget to CC your CMDR for the BSF). At the end of the week the two pilots with highest scores will receive a IS-SW and IS-BW respectively. The second competition is called Ship Shapes and it will start tomorrow. I will submit a table with 12 shapes of Star Wars ships and/or fighters and you will have to guess their names. See the links below for more details.

The XvT Week of War for the month of June has started yesterday. All pilots that can play XvT multiplayer are asked to head to the Zone (www.zone.com) and join other pilots from the EH against enemy clubs. Don't forget you get a Legion of Combat (LoC) for every match won and the top 3 pilots of ASF will receive IS-GW, IS-SW and IS-BW respectively. If you have questions about the Zone or Battlestats don't be afraid to contact me, VA Frodo or the Combat Operations Officer (khameir_sarin@yahoo.com).

Congratulation to SL Fox Malloy on his quick promotion to the rank of Lieutenant. Way to go!

CPT SavageAz is still on leave, Krayt pilots are to send their pilot files to me for BSF.

And on a final note, I've finally breached the 3,000 FCHG points, yay me! Sorry for the shameless bragging but I've been so close to Imperator rank since February but first a fried computer and then a fried TC database didn't allow me to get those missing 80-100 points so I'm very happy to have made it eventually...weee, next objective: 100 LoCs :)

Combat Operations Office Update
00:52 - VA Khadgar [khadgar1@shaw.ca]
An update regarding the Combat Operations Office medal process: A number of people have sent me LoCs, which I have processed. I also went through the Battlegroup rosters and submitted DFC awards for pilots who are currently active. At this point, I will accept missing LoC counts from individual pilots. However, please only mail in DFC counts if you are not in a Battlegroup. If you are in a Battlegroup, your DFC(s) are pending OPS approval.
